Default i fear the almighty hand of the dyno

i have the mods in my sig, and im thinking of doing a dyno, but im afraid.
i see some ppl puttin 315h stock and 350 with the stuff i have, and other 315 wiht my stuff. so please clear up the confusion.
also im thinking bout getting a tune. how much do they cost, and is it really worth it. ppl say after headers get a tune, especially if u dont plan on getting anything else for awhile.
thankz,and sorry

uh, how about you just dyno with an a/f reading so you find where you stand. tuning will no doubt help get the most out of your setup. i personally wouldnt get a full tune with the mods you have, i'd wait for h/c to do that.

And I would get the tune. Only if the tuner will give you a upgrade charge after future mods instead of the whole amount again.
I have always liked to see exactly how much of a gain each mod does and if you go from your current setup non tuned to a H/C setup tuned the actural gains will be off a bit.
BTW please follow the sig that jrp has above.
Tune and dyno should be around 425-500 dollars

whats the difference if your car is a little lower or higher if it runs par with other cars at the track with the same mods?

dynos measure gains from mod to mod, not the vaule of the car

After the LT swap drive ur car for at least 15mins and then go on the dyno so the PCM would learn. I never tuned my car after the headers install and i gained 23rwhp 27rwtq, .3 less in ET and 3mph in the 1/4mile.

You will always dyno LESS than what is advertised. If you go in knowing this you will come out happy

Sorry about that Mike K. I hit edit instead of reply. I did not go back and read what I put. Basically, what I said was wise words.
