would be even more interesting for people with heads to see a comp between these cams. I wonder which cam has more potential with better heads?

It would have been better if a tune was done after each install to lock in a consistant AFR for all three cams. Also one cam might like more timing than another. I agree with the too many vaiables. However it is still and interesting read.

How about track comparisons? Have you been able to run with all 3 cams? Where did you get your TB? Thanks for the tool BTW. I'm finishing it up tomorrow. Love getting hands on.

tuning was done after each install. the a/f is a little more rich on the 224 because it was dyno'd/tuned in cooler weather with anticipation of the warmer month's to come, so that I wouldn't run too lean. There was no knock on any of the runs.
Redline,
No track #'s yet. I am too afraid to beat up on this stock 10 bolt! I ported the TB myself.
How is the spring swap going? I know it has to be alot easier with the tool I loaned you!

This post if very informative and makes it clear why I will still with my TR224. For normal day-to-day driving, it has a lot more under the curve all the way up to 5000rpm.

Here's a comparison of the TR224/114+4 vs the F13/113+2 with heads.

Yes, it made it much easier I'm sure. Not that I've ever done it before, but I'd do it again. Love the TDC method. Bring it to Fayetteville!!! I do and mine's got a pos 10 bolt with 4.10's. You'd love that place. What did you notice with your Harlan rockers? Thanks big time for that tool. I really appreciate it.

Interesting.... I would like to see all of them in the same graph with similar AFs though.

yeah it looks like the TR224 is the best all around cam unless your only concern is way up top.

You ran leaner on the FM13 and g5x2..... so the comparison is not completely fair

why's that, he already addressed that issue. tuning was done after all three installations and there was no KR on any of them. the low a/f of the tr224 bodes even well because im sure a few more ponies could of been had by leaning it out a bit.

The tuning on the TR224 cam wasn't as aggressive as the other two.
