Default 6.6 l8t swapped 2018 z71
These new 6.6 engines are pretty impressive.after the ol 5.3 lost a few lifters and spit out some pushrods I decided to do the 6.6 since I haven't seen anyone had done it yet..we did the lt2 intake 218 low lift truck cam lt5 throttle body 1 7/8 tsp headers.i also went with the zl1 torque converter..it made 453hp and 437tq through single exhaust! Through truck drivetrain that's roughly 600 flywheel!

  • The last time I checked a salvage yard website, The prices were cheaper than L86s. I bet that won’t last long though.


I hope some more people start swapping them into cars with a cam

Folks seem to be catching on to those L8T's. They also have a stronger block vs the other Gen5 LT stuff.

Should be really stout with a bigger cam and converter..I'm pretty impressed with the draggy #s

L8T is a 6.6 liter iron block engine with no DOD/AFM used in the newer(2020+) 2500HD work trucks.
