Default How much power increase with new pistons- rings?

Getting my ls1 rebuilt I had around 180 psi should have 230psi hopefully, got some good coated pistons ect. Should have some more power with extra psi and modern rings? That would be like a free power mod.

Was your LS1 really tired? Was it 180 on all cylinders? Because 180 isn't bad.
Who told you to expect 230?

There is nothing free about replacing piston rings that didn't need replaced to begin with.

Sounds like you rebuilt for now reason, I'd send it with 180, that's actually a good number

Depends on the pistons and rings. Weight, construction and ring thickness plays a big part in it.

Cam plays a roll in that too, my gen V Lt engine has 150 on all cylinders with PD supercharger cam with gapped rings for boost. 180 is good as long as all cylinders are consistent as already mentioned.
