After watching that video a while back it has me contemplating going to a much shorter much lighter 3 inch Y pipe into a single 3 inch muffler exiting in front of the right rear tire instead of the full 2.5 inch dual exhaust all the way out the back that I am now running on my Ranger.

Also need real headers or better headers than the S10 shorty swap headers I am running now.

I really do feel I am leaving a bit of easy HP on the table.

Application specific. A street car only sees 6500+ rpm for a few seconds at a time. A road race car would see the high rpm limit quite a bit more.
