Well just got the car dynoed on the spray for the first time. Used a 59 jet. I guess around 135 shot? Shooting through the MAF
N/A numbers were 330/360
Shot the spray at 3k, hp had a nice climb through 4700 where it peaked at 410hp.
Tq on the other hand skyrocketed to a nice 525 and then gradually dropped to around 400 around 5300rpms.
N/A A/F was 13.0 the entire run, picture perfect. On the spray it started getting a little rich, it was a gradual increase. Started about 12.7 as soon as he hit the spray then started going to 12.3, 12.0, 11.7, 11.3, and hit 11.0 at one point. Then started flattening out again toward the last little bit of the run.
Is this normal? I haven't seen a whole lot of dyno sheets but that just seems a little odd to me. Also it wasn't a very smooth graph with the spray, it jumped around a lot more than N/A. I think some of this had to do with the lack of air pressure in the tires. Around 14-16psi I have to run to keep the tires planted. And I still have tr55 plugs with N/A gap on them. Will the plugs help out a little?
I'll try to get the sheet on a scanner in a little while to see if that helps at all.
Thanks,
Nick

Yeah, I know it. I believe a 62 is a 150 shot though right? So a 59 I am guessing is "supposed" to be around a 135. I'm not at home right now but I'll try to send it tomorrow when I get back.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Isn't spraying through the MAF the getto way of having your fuels system add fuel? As the MAF grows colder from the continuous spray, it should richin the mixture, thus explaining your A/F. I used to have a gimp kit like this on my 95 mustang. Only problem was is that mustang MAF's couldn't take the cold from the spray, so it shut the motor down. Seemed to work fine on my buddies formula though.

Here's the graph, I think it should work right now. Found an image resizer on another board.
I'm not spraying directly through the MAF, it is pointing forward in the air lid, then being pretty much sucked up through the MAF. I've seen quite a few cars with a dry shot set up this way with no problems. THe problem was when people had it spraying directly on the MAF, pretty much freezing the sensor.
Oh yeah, it got a little wet so there are a few spots where it looks a little blurry. Sorry.

Needs plugs, and also how are you pulling timing? I hope your running no more than 22 on the spray. Looks like a 125 shot to me by your gains through the middle of the curve.

No tuning has been done to my car at all. Timing is all stock, fuel system is stock, just a bolt on dry kit. Nothing special. That's why it seems so weird. There isn't much that could really go wrong with the kit.
Ben I'll probably stop down next week if I get a chance after this whole wisdom teeth crap is done with.
Later,
Nick

Nope, gas is good, could probably use a small amount of 100 or 104, but nothing that is going to affect it that much. As for timing. With all of these bolt on dry kits I've never seen one that comes with a device for pulling timing at all. Just spraying it through the MAF. Computer takes care of the rest!
