Speed inc. 427.
Just curious, with the newer dynojet software you cant tell if the converter is unlocked anymore since it doesnt show the big torque spike like it used to..
I really like the guy w/ the 500rwhp heads/cam car. Do you realize a 427 with 500rwhp will smoke a 346 w/ 500rwhp all day long? The big arm in the 427 will make a lot more power all over unlike the very peaky nature of the 346 car.
Prostockjohn...475rwhp and 123.
Bigbos...455rwhp and 121
Onebadws6...472rwhp and 126.
For everyone except silverghost, it sure looks like that dyno you all use reads WAY high. My pops car went 118 with <350rwhp at 3600 lbs. Put in the numbers and it works.
Let me break it down for your guys...either 1)your chassis holding back your car big time or 2)you're not making the power you think you are. I am leaning towards the latter choice.
I am done with this thread. I can only prove my point to people who are willing to open their minds and look at things logically.

In most cases it's your chassis holding you back, not the lack of horsepower or torque. A tenth of 60' is two tenths up top. For non-turbo cars (and some turbo cars) you can take your 1/8th mile ET times 1.555 to estimate your 1/4 within reasonable approximation. Turbo cars are harder to justify that way because they build up a lot on the big end. For TH400 cars, stall speed, flash point, tire pressure, trans temp, suspension settings (shocks, pinion angle) all have a lot more to do with the equation. And then there is the track as well. Each one is so different that you can get some very drastic results across the country. That's partly the reason for the DA calculations, so that you can set a reasonable expectation for other locations under similar conditions.
To complicate the math even further, depending on what components are used in a car will lead to huge differentiators in ET and MPH even though the HP may be exactly the same. FWIW, I tried both of the calculators mentioned here and they are so damn far off from my horsepower numbers that I just about flipped out of my chair.
Personally I think that the car made really nice numbers for a TH350. Anyway, I think that's enough ***-slapping for one day. Pot calling the kettle black if you ask me.

maybe just to make LTLHOMER happy you can set it up for HP
We can easily retune it,put a 4.30 gear in it and let the HP/MPH shine.
I can't wait to see you **** yourself when you crab the hose....
