Hell, I have a 98 with auto, I dont understand what the big deal is. The numbers seem right to me, plus not all cars dyno the same anyway. My 98 makes a little more power than posted 4 all you bs callers

do you realize the main thing here was that it was a mustang dyno? i have a feeling you didn't read the thread and your numbers were not on a mustang dyno.

No **** sherlock, the numbers are not that far fetched to be unreasonable. And yes we are talking about a MUSTANG DYNO. Dont be mad if his 98 put down more than your 99. It's ok...this kind of thing happens once in a while.

Well yea..

Calm it down you to. The stock numbers are probably I little high. Hell, one of my runs said 345 RWHP stock, sometimes the dyno does read it wrong which is why you do it more than once.

98-99 are the same btw.

The only way dyno numbers could be accurate is to run everyone on the same dyno, same weather conditions, same accel rate, etc. Even then if you are only looking at the peak number it really does not mean alot. As said earlier, the point is to see the gain or loss with each modification or change. Do not get hung up on a peak number only. And there is no magic "Mustang to Dynojet percentage difference." Different operators use different test settings and software so don't be quick to call someones results "bullshit".
Track times will prove it, thats what matters anyway.

For the record I'd like to say thanks to Katfishracing for posting those results.

Sorry about the BS calling, but the initial stock numbers just seemd to be too high from what I thought I knew about mustang dyno's. Apparently there was more to the story.

Anyhow, the most important part of the post was the gains anyhow, and that was very helpful and interesting, especially to me since I am about to add an LS6 intake and Pacesetter LT's w/orp. So thanks for taking the time to post the step by step results!

PS-chrd, no problem man, lol.

i know mike and lambeth personally, i have known them for probably six months and was at the track the night that it ran 10.98 and i have seen this car and its mods. if they say it made those numbers on a mustang dyno then i believe them, neither one of them have any reason to lie about the numbers. my 98 with no tune and just lid, pulley and catback, made 322 and 332 with 108000 miles on it. mike's car is simply amazing to watch.

I have to throw out here that it all depends on the dyno and you really can't make a comparison unless it's your car back o back. I did 385 on the mustnag dyno. Then did nothing to the car all week and ran on the dyno jet the following week and got 389. Had to take the ac belt off to get to 393. It just depends. No matter what it's a baseline and as long as you make your comparisons on the same dyno that's great. I noticed the improvements looked about right for each mod. Great car. Bet it's a blast to drive now. Thanks for posting up. It's always great to see some reality for all those manufacturers claims.

Thanks for the props on my car, but this is a different '98. Mine makes a little more..

The stock cat back with the long tubes was still very quiet, even at WOT it was not a huge difference from stock. With the cutout open... thats a different story. We put an electric cutout on it, great sleeper mod.

There was no cutout in any of the dyno tests right? You should do a dyno now with the cutout...I'd bet that would really open her up

the 350.9 was with the cutout open. The original post says that as well.

02WS6,
The long tubes/off road Y and stock catback is very very doscile. I had the bassani put on and I almost regret it. I still have the factory catback and as soon as I make 50 posts, and am able to put a for sale add on this board, I am gonna sell the bassani and put back the stock catback.

Anyone want a highly prices bassani???
400 and its yours!!!
Will trade for a set of draglites!!!
