Default stock 2000 WS-6 dyno's

my friend steven recently bought a stock 2000, silver, m6, WS-6..
so far his mods are:
17x9.5f/18x10.5r black/polished lip Z06 wheels
lowered
air box mod
coolant bypass mod
removed the muffler and put in a y-pipe to replace it

before any mods the car put down these numbers
run #1: 319.7/334.1
run #2: 323.2/337.2
run #3: 324.0/338.1

we haven't gone back to the dyno yet...but probally will soon.


these numbers sound allright?

Those numbers seem pretty high for a stock 2000.

so that's good then? haha


oh, i forgot...he just got in a 4.10 richmond, raised the revlimiter to 7000, compensated for the gearing, and removed the speed limiter

no, i've warned him of possible valve float at those RPM.....so i HOPE he hold off unil he's gotten at least a head/cam package

he dyno'd on the local Dynojet 248c, owned by Hoyle Automotive...here in crappy Taylorsville, NC

Makes no sense to rev a stock motor that high, he will be slower at 7k than shifting it at the peak of power band rather than after powerband.

i'm fully aware of this.....he, well......i tried to tell him

the whole problem lies in him being 19 y/o...and most of his friends having modded F-bodies or vettes.....so...the delima lies in having a new car with no mods...and everyone else being modded.


for the future...we're looking to do an 01-02 MC and SC swap out....going with some kind of clutch, LT's, lid/filter, true duals...and hopefully he can get a cam soon...

So he's got an open exhaust? That's why he dyno'd where he did.

raising the rev limiter to 7K on the stock cam? sounds like he's got a little ricer in him.
