I finally did it....

Cam Only, Full Bolt On, SD tuned via HP Tuners by me!

damn, cant find anything to complain about with them curves . but i thought reverse splits couldnt make no tq

hows the SD working out for you, i might go that route myself.

Jerami, SD was a very simplistic, sensible method to tune with... Other than my cam's overlap characteristics to work around, everything fell very well inline. If you decide to do that route (I recommend!) shout out at me from time to time if you run into a rut! The best part about it is, when people look at my intake, and notice a straight bellows instead of a MAF... I get this look alot --->

No... it's reverse splits bottle off top end power.

its reverse splits only make more top end power.

What is the icl ground to w/ this stick? +4 +2 ?

Not exactly if this is the answer, but according to my cam card, there was no advance. Specs were given at 111 ICL ATDC, and was installed that way as well... Cam LSA is 111 I'm not too terribly familiar with how those specs work but I think I got it...

yup, the tr230 cam card i have is 111.3lsa 111.3 icl.

what did you mean by "overlap charactoristics"? by my calculations you've got 4.8* @ .050. my cam has 15.8* @ .050 . my HPT should be in next week, the plan is to do a simple tune with the MAF to just get the car going and break in the motor and clutch. then i'll delve into the SD, i've been reading a bit on yours and Another Users post as well.

Do you have any full bolt #'s, just like to see how much you gained with the cam and tuning.

jrp: sd tuning seems like the way to go, I'm going to give it a try when all the snow melts.

full bolt on was 362/368.. you do the math... changes were cam and cat removal and a SD Tune

Well, i just meant positive overlap cams distort and contaminate air fuel ratios when verifying tuning. The effect of that is that when you think you've got an AFR nailed, you very well could not be on the money at all... Even the mighty wideband is easily fooled... Extra air and/or raw fuel gets jetted through during the overlap period and makes tuning pretty frustrating. The more positive overlap, the more BS to deal with... Your cam is going to be a *****

Via my SD tuning skillz..... lol the car drives nearly like stock! surges only a smidge once in awhile at a light, but idle hold very very solid... I'll get a vid for you later!

nice #'s. I also plan to do SD tune with HPTuners as soon as I get some free time. Doing a camswap on a friends car this weekend. Now its time for some nice heads!
