Question FIRST DYNO - Looking for Opinions

My mods are only lid and headers and cat back. I have an A4. All the mods are in my sig.

Does this look like a healthy dyno on a Mustang Dyno?

Looks great! 1. its a mustang dyno and they can be pretty stingy and 2. you have an a4 which again, is stingy on dynos as well. All in all great numbers and be happy man

Thanks, I was a little disappointed in my car at first.

Would anyone guess that the FWHP would be guesstimated at 366 to 383 for these #s?

autos loss anywhere from 17-20% depending so id figure around 380FWHP based on the stangdyno #s. On an inertia dyno ud have prolly put another est 10-15rw down so then you could say close to 400FWHP. Remember these are estimated #s. Give or take Ur ETs at the track will tell the real story!!!

mustang dynos are more accurate in terms of horsepower, because of the loading bearing, it simulates real road driving. Nice numbers, my stock hawk put out 290 on a mustang, and 307 on a dyno jet...

Thanks, APE did a good job. I think they increased it by 17 HP with the tune???

I have been hearing that with the Dynojet and figure the Mustang would be better at guessing FWHP.

So, if I took 318.4 times 117 (for a 17% loss) I would guess-timate a 373 FWHP. OR, 318.4 times 120 (for a 20% loss) I would guess-timate a 382 FWHP.

Either way 373 HP sounds better than the advertised 325 HP from Pontiac (BTW, I know the 325 is under rated) with only a Lid, headers, and muffler.

* Also, how can I use my ETs from the track to help determine FWHP? Or, do you just mean that I should have a noticable increase. So, I did 13.2 before mods and tune and I should do what after? Maybe 12.8 @ 110

ya id have prolly guessed that. My old Z when it was at 330rwhp hit 109.8mph but when i say varibles i mean Ex. like if you were to run skinnes ud pick sum mph cuz of less air resistance, U know things like that. But guessin rwhp by Trap speed is always just a rough estimation. Jus my humble opinion cuz im no expert

When I ran the 13.2 at 104 mph I had a clogged driver side cat that took some 'umph' away. I think the 01 and 02 F-Bodies can trap at 108 mph normally. That said I hope I am closer to a 112 mph trap speed with my 322 torque max.

yea cuz i think ud have hit 335-340rw on an inertia dyno. You just might hit 112mph w/ optimal weather conditions and maybe a lose a lil weight like takin out spare tire, etc. Try disconnectin the front swaybar too. all imho

I thought stock F-bodies usually trapped around 106 or 107 mph in the quarter. I am sure there are exeptions and just unusually strong motors. But isnt that pretty much what they do, 106/107 mph.

Weight reduction is good. The sway bar is gonna go from a 32mm to 35 for road racing. I just like to get it to the drag strip too.

My goal has been to get to 12.8 and I am hoping to do that as soon as I can get to Milan.

I was going by memory and I was probably a bit more optimisitic (or not).

Motortrend for the 00' WS6 did the 1/4 in 13.5 at 107.4 mph.

My mods and dyno numbers are in sig. The dyno was done on a Dyno Jet, and the convertor was unlocked as I'm sure yours was to. The dyno was done at Fastech, someone on here said it was reading about 10 rwhp low but I'm sure about that. I have no new track times but I'm expecting probably a 12.6 - 12.7. My car before Mac's dynoed at 322 rwhp and ran the #'s in the sig in the 1/8th which should equal about a 12.9 - 13.0.
