I have a motor in my 84 3/4 ton chevy that is real close to your combo. I have a 355 w/ KB flat tops and the twisted wedge heads. The cam is around 230 duration but i cant find the cam card so i dont know what the lift is. I have hooker headers and a holley 650 DP carb sitting on the holley street avenger intake. I have never dynoed my truck but i can tell you it will haul *** for a heavy 4x4. I had a 600 carb on it first and it was to small, the 650 woke it up. What size carb have you got? That may be part of the problem.

nah its the 650 double pumper was modified to flow more

Don't worry about your dyno numbers, use the dyno as a tuning tool, brag about your times at the track. FWIW I like the mustang dynos, yes they will show a lower number but it is a more accurate number,and you can make a 1/4 pass on a Mustang dyno.

so in reality power to the wheels is lower than most people's rwhp number on this site because most use other dynos

youve got a pretty good sertup now. Before you go and buy stuff get your current setup working properly. Fix your heating problem and get you carb tuned and dont run your engine hard until you get it in good working order. If it was all working right there is a good chance you have the stuff to hit ur numbers.
