ok i dunno what happened but i dynoed my car this last saturday and i was very depressed. over the winter all i did was gutted my cats and before i did anything i dynoed 332/345 stock with lid ok and now that i have gutted the cats and through a cut-out i dynoed 312/324. and then on the bottle i did 437/489 before gutting the cats and now im at 400/430 so what the hell is the dyno messed up or is gutting the cats a bad idea any ideas and help is greatly appreciated so let me know

maybe you messed up your a/f ratio.

i had my car tuned with a magnaflow catback then installed 3" duals and lost 15rwhp because my a/f went from 13:0 to 11.8.1.

are you still running the rear o2 sensors? They will read differently if there are no cats, or in your case, gutted cats. Im sure that would cause a problem...

Beat a pipe into/through the cat or cut them off completely. Gutted cats sometimes tend to cause more turbulent airflow. Noob opinion anyway . Just as an example. I gutted my factory rear cats (front were lost in header install), lost 5hp/12tq. Cut the damn things off (no front or rear cats now) and gained about 14hp/8tq over the starting point.

Same dyno? Are those corrected numbers? If 'no' to either of those, then that could easily be it.

yeah it was the same dyno cause we only have one here in town so yeah it was the same dyno and yes the numbers are corrected. the only thing that is different is that before it was in the air and since my last dyno(the one where i dynoed 332) he's put it in the ground so what i was thinking is that he screwed up the dyno by putting it in the ground so i dunno any more help is appreciated
Thanks Jason
