i havent seen one up close. but i know that the numbers they give are pretty close to actual numbers. i think there was an article on it on gmhtp not too long ago. they ran a z06 in the 1/4 and the gtech was pretty close to its time.

The GTech is a great instrument. It doesn't exactly duplicate a track's clocks, but uses accelerometers to measure the forces. It will come close to a track's equipment on most measurements. The real beauty of it is that it's repeatable and will get you definite and accurate run-to-run differences. That is, you can tune with it and see performance increases accuraely without having to go to a fully instrumented dyno or track. IMHO, pretty good bang for the buck. HTH
