Default 372 RWHP here, what gives?

Check out my sign, the 372 rwhp was with the converter locked. I just feal like it should have made alot more power then that with my set up. Please tell me what the heck is wrong with this combo!

The 472 was with the Juice but the converter was not locked at that time. Unlocked on the motor was 351 rwhp best

do you have ported TB, UD pulley, ory or catted? What were the weather conditions when it was dynoed? if catted ditch em, toss on a cutout if ya dont have one, you'll pick up 10+rwhp. if no ported TB or ud pulley, get em they'll get you another 15rw or so
Also, lots o folks will say dont worry bout the #'s esp. on an A4. Just get it to the track and see what it traps at, thats the real indication of power

I've seen alot of cars in our area that haven't dyno'd great with the big cams, so do.. some don't.. I would think your car would do 370's or better unlocked

What kind of exhaust do you have, is it the Flowmaster catback? Have cats?

There are no cats, the TB was home ported, very little though, dought it helped any. No UD Pulley either, but it does not have the cats, Hooker long tubes going to a 3" y-pipe, then 3" out the rear threw 2 chamber, flow master.

Weather was beautiful, about 75 degrees, the numbers were corrected to sea level.

True about the track stuff. Have yet to go to the track. I need to get a set of tires for it. It does pull as good now as it did before the cam install with the juice on it. Now with the juice, holly **** does it run!

The y-pipe was built localy, the rest is stock to the flowmaster, then it has large tips after that. The damm exhaust is loud. Very raspy. I am going to have to just see what she does at the track. Maybe I will get some tires soon.

Also, now that I have idled the car up to 900 rpm and it runs alittle higher rpm down the road due to the 3.73 gears, I guess I could benifit from an UD Pulley without hurting anything else.

Chris, which car is yours? I might have seen you at PenWell. Mine was the slow Black WS6 that ran 13.30's best (before the cam swap).

Yes they did, I do not think it is robbing any power. It might, it is a bit low to the ground, but in all fairness, it was a big pain to make fit with those headers. They worked their hind ends off on it. But it is freaking loud! They new dyno numbers or not on their dyno. They are on TPS's dyno. My numbers before the cam swap were within 6 hp compaired between TPS's dyno and Racers edge's dyno. I have heard people in Odessa think thier dyno is wrong, but my numbers were very close.

I've seen some pretty close numbers for their dyno too, I don't think anything is wrong with it..

I"ve heard they do good exhaust work so I figured I would ask.

I still need to get back over there to dyno again soon before I start tuning mine.

Yes, I have seen sevral exhausts they have done. They do good work. The welds are perfect. Sonny, Cliff, and I go way back before they opened up the shop. They do great work and are very honost people. They helped me install my headers and my converter, let me tell you it was a lot of hard work. They stayed very late working with me to get it finished up. It all went perfectly thanks to them. I have seen them build several different engines, SBC, BBC, all kinds of Fords, they do good work, and they don't act like "know it alls". Which is a plus in my book. I hate it when you go to a shop and all the shop owner does is cut down who ever did the work the last time. Racers Edges does not do that. Like I said, good people.
