Default Dyno #'s on new setup.

Dynoed my car last Thursday...Dyno Jet #'s ...93* and 98% Humidity..after driving the car 40 minutes to the shop.

Pull 1) 480.0 RWHP 436.1 RWTQ

After 20 minute cool-down.

Pull 2) 484 Rwhp 440 RWTQ
These number's are on the initial mail order tune from Ed Wright and without an A/F, I need to get a bunge welded in the exhaust and re-run the car. I think she has more left in her!!
What do you guy's think!! Decent numbers or not??

Why do you call it a timid cam?? Because of the duration or the center lobe??

UPDATE: I went to the local Sunoco to get my 94 octane, filled the tank and 2 miles down the road...pooof...pouring blue smoke out the exhaust!!! I about **** my pants since the motor has 1200 break in miles on it. Found out the tanker driver that had filled the station's tank's...pumped DIESEL fuel in the 94 octane....what a ****!!! Now Im fighting too get the motor and evrything the fuel touched redone...this sucks BIG TIME.

Drain the tank and put in 5 gals of pump gas. Wait an hour. Then undo the fuel line up front and pump out a gallon or so. Diesel is heavier than gas so it will seperate and fall to the bottom of the tank and get drawn through the system first when you pump out that first gallon.

She should fire up after that. Drive her to the station and fill er up.

Hope this helps.

Rookie, thanks for the tip....but the motor is coming apart!! The o2 's are fouled, two set of plugs , the rings arent looking to great and the piston's along with the valves look like they have 40,000 miles on them. The injectors need cleaned and flowed along with the entire fuel system needing to be cleaned but other than that things are good.

Diesel will **** a motor. Just changin the gas back will do nothing to reverse teh damage done. Sounds liek you got a clear case adn a fresh 427 comin your way.. What ya mean ya dont have a 427?? lol GL

John,
I respectfully disagree. I've seen this before. Given the short run time and that fact that diesel has been in the system for a very brief period, I doubt there is any damage other than the O2s that wasn't there before diesel was introduced into the system. Perhaps we can grab a beer or two sometime and debate it further.

SS1875,

Hopefully the station will pick up all your costs. It sucks your in this situation through no fault of your own, I hope everything works out ok.

Good luck!

The wifey once accidentally filled up with diesel. The car didn't even leave the pump since it was dang near out of gas when she filled it. I pulled it home, used the fuel pump to empty the tank, refilled the tank with gas and never had a problem with it. I'm guessing since you ran the "mix" for a while it had time to screw things up.
