Thumbs up Back from East Side Performance

I went to East Side Performance for my dyno tune today (wed)... baseline hp number was 330rwhp with the mods listed in sig (plus the little stuff like tb bypass and 160* tstat. after the 1st run, ken had it up to 346hp. since i was told to expect a 10-15hp gain from tuning, i was pretty impressed by a 16hp gain and i thought we were done... but no... ken tweaked it a few more times, and the final result was 361hp/374tq that more than doubled my expectations. i am extremley impressed and pleased with those numbers.

i am wicked pleased with the results so far. the car sounds badass with the Kooks LT/ORY /w the default firehawk SLP dual/dual muffler. having the 'real' muffler keeps the exhaust tone nice, clean, and beefy and keeps the volume at idle below the 'pull me over' level.

Wow, that's freakishly high with a stock cam'd car. I saw you had a ported TB in your sig, but do you have an underdrive pulley too? Those numbers were without a cutout too? Please post up the graph, I'd love to see it.

Jeez those numbers are crazy, that's as much torque as my car has with the cam!

gomer: stock pulley, no cutout. i think the pulley is the only HP related bolt on that i haven't done yet... i'm still doing my HW on that cuz i'm gonna eventually put a big sound system in this car (ya ya i know it adds weight). the 'catback' or 'y-back' as we could call it now, is just the way it came from SLP's conversion. all my mods are in the sig except for little **** like 160* tstat, TB bypass, !AIR, synchromesh tranny fluid, GC syn oil, NGK TR55's @ .055, weight removal (!rear seats, !spare/jack)

97383LT4, Adrian: thanks, thanks

MSGHUFF: the track times posted are BEFORE i got the LT's/ORY, TB, and dyno tune. i'm going up to New England Dragway in NH on friday for street night. it supposed to get down to 70 degrees by 8-9pm, so maybe ill get some nice slips near the end of the night!

i'm going to a friends house tonight to scan my dyno sheet so i can post it.

Very Nice. Stock 3.42s I take it? Get a pulley man. I noticed SOTP. I should have waited on the gears to see what my car would do full bolt-ons. I did 344/361 without headers or pulley, stock thermo and stock TB.

As Krazy implies, they aren't corrected numbers, which may account for the real high numbers. What is the CF? Or the SAE corrected numbers? I'm guessing your CF will be around .96/.97, which will bring you down 10-12. But I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, thats still very good! Besides, standard numbers are what you feel on the road, not SAE, so its nice to know that too. Just tough to compare STD #s.

Hmmm...I did not see that they were standard till you said something. Mine are SAE.
