Default old TR230 cam GREAT NUMBERS!!

Great job to Jason and Robert at Extreme Performance in OKC!!
Went from 292 hp/310 ft lbs with a lid to 382 hp & 375 ft lbs with bolt ons!! Drivability is great, AC works all the time, and this is on a 98 with stock heads!! Cam peaked at 6300 and torque was pretty much flat from 2500 on up!! This car is a riot to drive now, I had no idea what to expect, but I love it!! Thanks again guys! As soon as I get the graph emailed to me I'll post it.

good #'s on stock 98 heads man. A buddy of mine put that cam in his 99 vette with stock heads and other bolt ons and got 399RWHP so you're not too far off

Pretty nice. The TR230 has always put up good numbers and has a very flat torque curve like you described. Before the days of the F90mm intake there were a few who have passed 440rwhp with it along with good heads. Don't count it out just because it's an older grind.

It really not worth mentioning the year of heads the difference between 98-99 and 01-02 is basically not even worth mentioning like 3 cfm difference. The same numbers would be put down with an 01-02 with the same ls1 intake. Anyway great numbers by the way!!

Good numbers, the TR230 has always put down pretty solid numbers 380-400 on stock heads with a 6speed.

Great torque and power everywhere! It's a great cam! I'm not too familiar with the A4's, I'd say 370rwhp easily.

How is the idle quality, and is there much surge? Basically is it in your opinion a good "everyday" cam? I am running a comp cam 224/224/ 581/581 114 and I am disapointed with the HP numbers.

zapp - It is my daily driver and it's not bad at all. You have to slip the clutch a little more than normal in parking lots and backing up but it's not a big deal. Only surges if you're trying to idle around in 1st like with the stock cam.

Stang killer - If my math is correct I gained 90rwhp! 292 stock to 382 cammed!..also went from 310 ft lbs to 375 ft lbs!!
