Default New numbers for cam only C5

real quick..list of mods....

2000 FRC vette 6 speed.

Vararam, 85mm screened maf, ported stock throttle body, LS6 intake manifold, TR6 plugs, MSD wires, LG motorsports longtubes, STOCK modified H-pipe, and stock catback....

all that, 355 rwhp and 366 rwtq

Now with the new cam, and double springs, and ti retainers,....still stock mufflers....

396 rwhp and 377 rwtq

My exhaust comes this week,...hopeing for 410 rwhp....I also need the aftermarket AIRBRIDGE, as mine is still stock.

That, and a set of heads,...the car should run like a champ.

from what i hav heard, dont waste your money on an aftermarket AIRBRIDGE,
and get a really good tune from Mike Norris at Horsepower Sales, they are one of the best
I've also heard that the dyno @ Diablo likes to give higher numbers( knew of an LS2 car that dynoed over 350rwhp, had a hard time trapping over 100mph), you might want to get a second opinion on that Dyno number, I've heard Champion Motorsports has a nice properly caliberated dyno that gives SAE numbers

Nice HP numbers. My friend has the same cam in his SS and put down about the same exact hp as you did. That cam seems like it does not produce too much TQ. His TQ was fairly low also. I hope to put down 400 cam only in my FRC. I am sure you will be there with the bolt ons that are left. Congrats again.

First off,...please don't take this the wrong way man but,...I wouldn't let Norris touch my car, ever. Thats all I will say about that.

Not sure who you've been talking to about the diablosport dyno but, in REAL LIFE, it is a low numbers dyno. Ironically.... my friend in his Z28 LS1, layed down 325 rear wheel horsepower on a dynojet dyno...... now he has a LS6 intake,...and at the diablo dyno, he layed down 325 rearwheel horsepower. Hows them apples? LS6 intakes are known to bolt on power.

Have you been there?

I have,...alot. Therefore, no need to debate these numbers, or somebody elses dyno.

"had a hard time trapping over 100mph"

Wow...i've gone 110 in a bone stock LS2 vette, 6 speed, my first time ever being in a C6.

Your buddy in the C6 that can't trap over 100mph,...has problems.

The airbridge, in my opinion, 6 or 7 hp, is worth it,. as I plan on a built motor in the future, that could use the extra air...and the sky is the limit as far as mods.... The exhaust, that should come in today,...should throw me nicley over the 400 rwhp mark.

Do it in your FRC bro,... you'll be happy man.

I walked a Z06 this weekend from a roll

dude, the dyno is off, trust me
as far as Norris goes, I think he has a much better reputation than Diablo..
Not letting your vette get a custom dyno tune from mike norris is your loss.
Mike is THE MAN for LS1 Tuning in FL.
I've also know at least one person that blew their truck up on Diablo tuning

Do a research on the airbridge, you will find out its mainly for looks and unless you have FI or a large CI engine, its a waste of $$$

Bro...mike has cost my friend money,..he cost an other man that I know of 7grand.

"better reputation then diablosport"... thats funny that you would say that, since all procharger/ vortech/slp etc etc kits, come with diablosport programmers.

keep your personal opinions, personal. Just post facts. The dyno isn't off.

Again,...if anything, it reads weak. Not gonna battle you about your opinion, dude.

Again, not opinions, just the facts i am stating. Wow, it must be all the other dynos in this country that are off, not the one at diablo
As far as mike, he has a great reputation, and he cant be responsible for other peoples actions when it comes to " costing them money". I doubt it was mikes fault, again his reputation as a tuner is much better than the tune of diablo. FACT.

Lets keep mike out of this, since he has nothing to do with this conversation. I'll show you dyno numbers, on two seperate dyno's,...just cause I can't wait to see your foot in your mouth, right there next to your other one.

Your just another internet opinion. This is my job, not a hobby. I base my words on actual facts,...and experience...not on what someone told me.

The car spent hours on the dyno,...if your tuner, can't make power out of YOUR car, let me know if you need a good mechanic, and a tuner...I know a few. Have a nice day

I dont want my car to make less actual power, so i wont need your tuners help, already have one
If you knew about the facts, you would have known by now that dyno is off.
Make sure you dont wear any shoes when you get your car dynoed on a caliberated one, this way your foot will fit in your mouth easier
