Default 383 Dyno #'s

Well i had the 383 all stroke dyno tuned by Jeremy at Rev Extreme.

383 with 12.1 comp.
cam is a 248/254 622/612 on a 114 +2
5.3 Hand ported heads
ls6 intake, Ported trottle body
Long tube pasesetters off road Y pipe, and flowmaster cat back
Tci 3600 converter
Moser 12bolt 373 gears

was looking for more on motor but got 412hp and 402t UNLOCKED
with a .061 pill dry it made 598.6 hp UNLOCKED

I will post a graph as soon as i get it it was late when we left and did not get one but i will stop and get it in a few days, But over all i wanted more on the motor but we will see how it does at the track, as for the N20 run i was very happy it made 186hp on a small dry shot.

get rid of the flowmaster, get 1 7/8 headers, and a 90/90 setup and you will be over 470-480.

What size valves are you running? Also are your heads milled, dynojet or mustang dyno.

Ls1Queen is my wife so i'll answer for her, The valves are 2.02/1.60 the heads where only milled to clean them up maybee .010 or so and it was on a dyno jet.
After talking to the tunner he tells me that the numbers are not bad due to a few things like the converter not locked, i run 325-50-15 MT drag radials the tire is over 12" wide he says that was eating up some power on the dyno and the motor still being tight ( new)
We will be putting on the 90/90 and true duals so we will see

60-70rwhp from those?? 90/90 will give you 20rwhp. duals might be 20 over a flowmaster catback. 470-80 from those way high IMO. the 1 7/8th might be worth 10 if its a high revving motor.

what are you spinning it to?? thats a pretty stout cam

I agree with 2000 Tran Zam. its all in the combo

90/90 20rwhp
Kooks Headers 20rwhp
Magnaflow 20rwhp

Unless the heads are junk...then you will not see those kind of gains.

The flow master flows worse than my Edelbrock and I have seen 19 hp by opening a cutout when my car was only making 372 through the muffler and 389 through the cutout. and again with the f13 cam it went 420 through the cutout and 396 through the muffler. If you like the sound , just throw in a cutout. I can see you getting about 30 through the cutout with the size motor you have.

I really don't think you need to go any bigger than 1 3/4 headers most poeple go with a headers were the primary tube size is 10% bigger than the exhaust vavle.

I have learned so far that every dyno i have been to so far has been totaly different #'s such as Mike Norris = 384/385 on the 346 that was a dyno jet, #2 same motor nothing different different dyno but still a dyno jet just went with some freinds on a dyno party made 408/391 the air was very simalar both days and the last dyno run on the 346 was 414/402 this one was also on a dyno jet.

The car went 6.76 1/8 mile before on a 150 shot / 7.41 NA and 10.70 in the 1/4 on a 100 shot / and 11.40 NA the motor nows feels much much more than before so i will post tomarow night after the track this will be the real test.

Cant go wrong with the FAST90 and Nick Williams TB, you would see some good gains adding them to your set up.

Well we have had a few passes on the new motor now not to sure the 412hp is that right, the old set up pulled 380's and ran a best of 7.40's in the 1/8 new set up pulled only 412 and has went 7.01 at 99 mph so thats 4 tenths and 6mph on 32hp gain I dont think so.

We wanted a bigger # than that but o well car weighs 3540 with out me in it and has ran so far a best of 7.0 1/8 at 99mph and 6.50's at 106 with a 1.38 60ft with a 100shot dry

very very impressive combo. you guys have that suspension workin for ya! i dont put a whole lot of faith in big converter dyno graphs. what counts are your track times. they are awesome!
