Default SLP 402 numbers

Here is the mods:
Iron block
JE pistons (11.3 comp)
Eagle rods 6.125
Eagle Crank 4"
Comp Cams 232/242 598/609 112+2
Patriot Stage 3
LS6 intake
BBK 80mm
85MAF
28# inj

Ok and the numbers:
First run is with stock heads could not wait to put the motor together with the patriots. 461hp/476tq
Second run with same mods just with the cut out open 485/494
Two weeks later the third run which was 505/502 thats with the patriot heads and the cut out open.
Fourth run 516/517 run took place with the cut out open and some tunning with HP tuners. Most of the tunning was with the AF ratio. But there you go I will have the dyno slip posted soon. Just wanted to throw that out to you guys and see what you think...

It sounds like it is rear wheel since he's running with open cut outs, if it was an engine dyno he'd most likely be running open headers anyways.

sounds nice, post some graphs and more specs on the driveline. Also whats with the 28# injectors? that thing needs more than a 28 pounder.

how is the tq staying so close to the hp. with all of these 40x combos it seems like the tq is a little lower than the hp. just my observation. any thoughts?

Sorry guys it was on a Dynojet 224X dyno the drivetrain is a 6spd, 4:10 setup, and the motor with the exhaust closed was making some sad numbers with the patriot heads and all it only put about 492/476 but that is threw a flowmaster cat back. The dyno sheet should be up today.

like brandon and bad95 said, slap a fast 90mm intake and throttle body and some bigger injectors on that beast. i bet youll gain at least 20 more horsepower with the 90/90. i would think the 28# injectors would be maxed out now, for peace of mind i would put some 36# in there

I said this because the numbers are almost unbelievable. 460 rwhp through stock heads? Then 515rwhp with Patriots, small cam, and a LS6 intake? I've seen cars with AFR 225's, bigger cam, and a FAST 90mm make a bit less than that with the same cubes. Not doubting the numbers, just stating why I said that.

I built a 408ci for a customer awhile back that had stock, 241 LS1 castings on the motor. It made 470rwhp/470rwtq through a LS6 intake, 1 3/4 Hooker headers/y-pipe, and all the normal bolt-ons. It really isn't that unbelieveable in my opinion.

Nice #s!

Jason

Wow, I didn't have any clue that it could be so easy. Seems that for the longest time 408's struggled to hit 500rwhp. I know most are knocking down over 520 average now, but I wonder what was so hard 6 months to a year ago?
