Default dyno #'s 408/AFR 225's=blown 4l60e!...

Well we got the car going and to the dyno and Yeah the good 'ole 4l60E took a dump At 4,500RPM on the dyno(actually O/D went out on a hard downshift on the way to the dyno). Still mustered a N/A 447RWHP @ a whopping 4,500RPM (just when it started making power!) Had to limp home with 1st & 2nd gear only! It should make over 500RWHP, Guess I'll have to wait a week or so to prove it though(TH400 being built as we speak). I really wanted to spray the car but such is life!
Mods are:
6.0 block 408
Callies crank
Eagle rods
Diamond 11:1 pistons
Futral 246/250 cam
CNC'd AFR 225's
LS6 Intake
42# FMS injectors
1 3/4 hookers w/Borla catback
NX 2 stage MAF kit(not used yet!)
A/F was 13.6 after what tuning we could do. This setup has exellent street manners(what little bit I got to drive it!)

sounds like a healthy combo once you get that slushbox fixed.

They are CNC'd by AFR(Pt# 1630). I think so, we'll see though!

Was your tranny stock completely. If so I understand. I had mine rebuilt by Century Trans in houston. It took my H/C and 150 shot all day long. I`m getting 408 built right now with 200 shot and I sent the tranny back for there Stage 3 build. should handle everything I throw at it! When I go with a direct port 300 shot i will switch trannies then. But thats along ways from now!

It was a fresh rebuild and new converter but still pretty much stock. If I was gonna run all motor then I would do a good 4l60e but I've got three stages on the car so I'm gonna be safe and do a TH400.

Don`t blame you at all! Let us know your numbers. My cam is 242 248 620ish 114. Going with ET heads and all the bolt-ons in my sig. I`m also hoping over 500rwhp. They tell me 530rwhp is our goal. Then 200 TNT shot to help her out. My car is heavy and full street trim. Very little track so I`ve got to have driveablity for the wife.
