That is extremely strong numbers for that cam, you should be running mid to high 11's on motor if it is a 6 spd car.

Congrats

Im only twenty minutes from there. Now for the I do an insane amount of reading on this site but I dont post much. Its a lot of money to spend and I dont want to be one of those people that say I wish I wouldve gone bigger with a stall or cam. Im not going to have the money to swap the stuff out if I dont like it. Thats why I was thinking of something in the mid 230's, like the tsp tourqer v2 232/234 .595/.598 on 112 or 113 lsa, but I also want the power "under the curve" I dont need to be making the power way up in the 6800 rpms. This is basically a summer only street car that may go to the track a few times just to see what shell do. And its only got 5800 miles on it so Im not looking to make it a race car, basically I want to go as big as I can without being insane. And the guy next to me to know theres a cam in the car, I will have cats so that also takes away from the lope

Im also going to have all the supporting mods to go with the cam, ported throttle body, QTP's, catted y, stall convertor, gears.

Thanks for any help you guys may be able to give

ESP has been doing cams for a long time! Just not one of the shops that's really pushing them. Cool Kat, if you want to see a 2nd car with a h/c setup, similar to Chef's, you can PM me as well.. I have a setup that's very streetable similar to chef's just using QTP headers, and ls6 heads. My aim is ljo524, I'd be happy to discuss as well. For referance, I made 403 thru a 12 bolt and a steel driveshaft, that's 10 lbs heavier then the stock alum one, and that ws with just the cam and associated bolton's. Car hasn't been dyno'ed after the heads went on... but will be the first week in april before the Th400 swap, for a comparison to last year's cam only dyno results, and a before and after the TH400 swap, to see the diffenrence there as well.

Rob,

Preliminary feedback from Eastside looks great with our goods. Please keep me in the loop when you post official dyno numbers on the Edelbrock head, ESP cam and Edelbrock Headers install.

Jason.

Yea Sean has been great so far. I dropped my car off on Wednesday at East Side for a h/c install. I can't wait to see my numbers!

Your 420 numbers look amazing. I'm thinking I should've gone with a bigger cam, but the heads should give me the power I'm looking for with stock driveability

Aaron, you better get that BRE cam finished up then...

LOL, trust me, I'm looking forward to racing Aaron as soon as his car is done. My prediction is him from a dig and me from a roll. Anything it possible though.

Almost a year later, race neevr happed But I got a LS1, doing the same route, bolton's exhaust, gear, 12 bolt and a TR 230/236 cam, Now we both got 12 bolts, its going to be dead even, weight of the cars and the willingness to frag the tranny is going to determine the winner.

He is away during the week, has no access to a PC sadly, No he hasnt had a chance to redyno it. Me, Him and his Brother are supposed to go one of these weekends. He has put a UD pully on the car im hoping there is not much of a decrease on the rear.

I am swapping my 12 bolt (and corsa cat back) in with in the next 2 months so ill base line then redyno afterwards and hoping the cat back cancels out the rear.

I might be getting it dynoed again next weekend. I put the 12-bolt in, but I also added an underdrive pulley. I figure anything around or over 410 will make me very happy.

and it will run better with the gearing, especially once you put a good tire on it and side step the clutch at 6 grand
