also does a locked up converter car have about the same efficnecy as a manual?
i was looking at my number this way 500bph x .85 (15% drivetrain loss in a m6) = 425-20 (unlocked ssf 3500) =405rwhp is this correct?
the car has 17x 11 wheels and a steel driveshaft bulit 10bolt 3.73 rear gears

From what I have heard even a locked up converter still doesn't show the same #'s as an M6 would. Locked converter vs. M6 the auto #'s would still be lower. Can someone confirm this?

You are correct. Atleast from what I have seen there is a big difference between a locked converters numbers and a m6 . I have also noticed as the hp increases the gap widens between the two. I will be swaping to a m6 ina month or so and I will defintly post before and after numbers. Anyone want to make some guesses on gains?
