This is on the mail-in tune.... The guys at the motorshop said I could get about 15-20more hp out of a tune... I also got the 30lbs injectors. So that's a good thing. Hopefully we'll be seeing some 440hp numbers soon

If your A/F ratio is already at 13.2, you're probably not going to pick up 15-20 rwhp with additional tuning. Timing makes a difference, but most mail order tunes get the timing pretty close. I hope you can find some additional power with more tuning. Enjoy the newfound power.

What heads do you have 241's or 243's castings, gears? Reason being is that I've seen a couple Cartek 2x cam only vettes (M6's) make 410 RWHP. You should of got a tune from Cartek they will get you to the 440RWHP+ that their 2x package has been making for years. Also they have tuned tons of these setups and know how to extract every last bit of power unlike a tuner who didn't design the package. Give Dave (908) 317-4496 a call and see what he says because these numbers are extremely low for a Cartek 2x H&C package.

Thanks for posting the graph. The mid-range numbers at 3000-4000 rpm tell a lot about what's going on with your setup. I hate to even bring this up, but your dyno graph is based on the STANDARD correction. Most on this board use SAE correction. SAE numbers tend to be a few percent lower than STANDARD numbers which means you're making even less power than the 416/383. Sorry.

Hopefully with fresh plugs and additional tuning, you'll find the missing ponies.

In the upper left corner the is "STD" written. Your car still made what it made...it's just that SAE numbers are usually lower because it factors in different variables such as altitude, weather, etc. Still pretty good numbers. I know it drives like stock and pulls pretty hard and the dyno you ran on might dyno lower than others as well. I bet it pulls pretty hard now huh?

After 2 pulls I realized he was using Standard numbers and had him change to SAE on the last pull. Right now I'm cam only with an F13.

yeah I ran like 5 minutes after you left :-P I was mor concerned with the A/F actually And it sucked... I called up cartek and they told me I should be around 430-440 when they are done with it. I picked up a set of SVO 30lbs from excessive and they only charged me 125 for them. They are used, but in great shape... So I'm going to take a trip up there. Right now I'm putting in 4.10's and a hardened output shaft... we'll see.

Question #1, why would "standard" read lower? #2, why would any dyno shop use "standard" if the dyno readings can vary due to the location's elevation or atmospheric pres, temp and humidity of which SAE is used to standardize? Maybe I have my terminology reversed.

That's cool. I could recommend someone locally for a speed density tune but I would take the car up to them since it's there package and let them figure out the problem.

I like that 2x cam more and more I hear about it. Did you ever dyno it cam only? anybody ever dyno this cam cam only? I really like the specs/power/track times that Cartek claims it will do.

Sounds like good #'s to me man, congrats!

Hey man.. I've been following your setup. I have an 02 Z28 and went with the 2X Cam (mine has a little less lift than yours I think, .581/.588 on a 224/228 113lsa).

Its possible a better tune would help you out

an area in which I have no experience but am curious about.. the stepped 1 7/8 headers aren't too big?

Still your numbers are pretty good. Get an extra 10-15ponies otu of that w/ a ls1edit and I'd be pumped. A pulley maybe?

I'll compare my dyno graph; my car goes into East Side Performance on 3/29 for Cartex 2x cam and Patriot S2 59cc heads, pulley, pacesetters, ory, magnaflow, and a LS7 clutch, with LS1Edit tune. Expensive but hopefully it'll all go smoothly and It'll be worth it.

Yeah definitely... I'm going to be broke here for a while till I can afford to put the injectors in and get it tuned.... my output shaft broke at the track so now I'm putting in 4.10's and a hardend shaft. So we'll see.
