IMHO, id ditch that SLP MAF for the stocker unless you find a tuner that can work w/ the SLP unit cuz some can and some cant.
We tossed the stock MAF on and the dip is still there. I went from 12.5 A/F with the SLP to 11.2 with the stock MAF.

Hey I just put that cam in my 98 camaro with stage 2 5.3l heads and im making ok power but the power band falls off at 5600 rpm's and not 6800! Did you use the stock timing chain and gears on your car and did you put the cam in straight up or did you have to retard or advance the cam?

It was installed straight up if I remember right with the stock chain. My chain only had 3k on it so it was reused.

I think one big reason for that may be because I have mid tube headers instead of LT's. Plus the pull started at 5000 instead of the usual 3000.

I did command the converter locked but I'm wondering if it actually was locked during the pulls since the RPM shot up so fast.

Those were some nice numbers you put down today i think there is still alittle more in there for ya i think just making a pull with a ect under 200 would help you out. Now all we got to do is plug the maf back in and recalibrate it.

I'm very pleased with the numbers! I'd just like to get it all dialed in and finished up!

here's the graph. Dunno why this software shows a different number than the dyno did but it's only ~1hp/tq off, close enough for me!

Yeah, I had alot of issues looking at the other pulls too. Some of them had a weirt peak in the middle of them at over 440 lb/ft of torque. Dunno why it shows them different.

wow nice numbers on the 392hp

i am going the same route as we speak.....i am putting my TR23/224 in with my comp cam 918 springs with titanium retainers and locks...as well as some chrome moly 7.4 pushrods....and a ls6 and a slp or march underdrive pulley....and my car is a m6 with dynatech lt's so hopefully i will be near your hp.....how much did you dyno before the mods?

i dynoed at 305hp...320tq stock...and then with the dynatech lt's i went to 331hp and 348tq

Car was never dynoed before, I wish I did though. You should be near 400 no problem with the LT's and the underdrive pulley and LS6 intake.

Great results. Did you ever drive the car with the stock tune and the new cam? If so how was the drivability? It would probably be a couple days to weeks before I could have someone dyno tune my car.

Thanks

Never ran the car untuned. I got LS1edit before the cam so I was ready. The cay may run but it will probably not run very well at all and part throttle stuff will be WAY off. Surging will also be a big issue unless you bump up the idle fairly high.

If you look at the Old graph:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...chmentid=59473

and the Current graph:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...chmentid=61675

The dips are in different places. I don't understand that at all! The original unlocked dyno shows it at about 5800rpm and the locked graph shows it at 4600rpm.

Must be the difference between locked and unlocked?

I got a few ideas but we will have to wait till you get back on the dyno to see what we can do about it.

Why the shift in RPM between the locked/unlocked graph though. That's what is confusing me the most.
