Great numbers for a stalled auto with stock heads.

Just curious, what led you to choose this cam? A lot of people are set against the reverse split...

Let us know if you get some new track #'s - but I guess that would be tough since you were 12.00 last time out.

I've had this cam in the car for quite some time. It was recommended by a local guy and I decided to give it a shot.

I plan on hitting the track again at T-n-T but it's notoriously crowded and poorly prepped so we'll see how the times go. 11's should be there easily if I can get the car to hook. Worn out nittos and poor track prep aren't good for low 60's.

So was that with the SLP MAF back in the car? I have an SLP also and am concerned at your post about it not being a good product. What do you think??

Gillbot,

I like the shape of your torque curve. No dips, just a steady increase and then FLAT.

I was wondering... Was this cam installed 'straight up' or 'as is' at a 111* ICL (0* of advance)? There are two Hi-Tech motorsport's cams out there that I recal, both being reverse splits with 2* of advance set to them, with very similar torque curves.... That large slope that forms into a very flat curve.

On those 11 sec passes, what kind of 60' times are you pulling and what tire are you using?

Lastly, I'd like to see what a good set of long tubes would do to your torque curve.

Thanks for your time!

Yes, this was with the SLP MAF. We had a hard time getting it tuned on the top end because the maf would "stall out" and not count any higher as the RPM went up. We weren't sure if it was a MAF issue or if the engine was just consuming all the air it possible could and something else was restricting it. Seems to run good though so we left it. I've been told that removing the resistor and running the Z06 or Truck MAF table would be better so I may try that at a later date and see if that helps.

Cam was installed dot to to, no advance. My 60' on the 11.85 pass was 1.6692 using MT Drag Radials. I've thought about pulling the MAC headers and running a set of LT's but I don't like they way most of the Y pipes fit and i'd hate to lose any more ground clearance. I scrape enough as it sits now.

All it takes is time and money!

I found that if you just open your wallet at the intake and let it suck as much as it wants, you are set!
