Default H/C Numbers

Ok, i started off stock 260 RWHP, 270 RWTQ.
After bolt ons i got 306RWHP, 318 RWTQ
After Cartek Stage 2X H/C, i now have 383RWHP, 368RWTQ. There's a little more in the tuning still, and I'm getting an underdrive pulley this week. I'm trying to break the 400 mark. I don't know if i'll do it, but it'll be close. BTW if my numbers seem low it's because it's through an A4. I did some math and i would be at 425 RWHP with a 6 speed. I have it on video and I'll post once I figure out how to upload to the comp from the camera.

Ya think so? I figured that the LSX intake wasn't worth the money unless i had more cubes...
That intake is in the back of my mind though. I was also considering getting the LS6 intake ported along with the tb. I'll keep you guys posted.

I read an article lately where they got 40 hp at the wheels from the FAST 90 and TB setup only. How true? I dont know. Have you considered a converter?

224/228 114 Lsa, 581/585. Yes, I'm eventually going to get a Yank 3000 stall. Do you have a link to the article about the 90/90?

Actually if ya read more over this section regarding H/C LS1's you'll definitly go with 90/90 set-up..in august 04's issue of CHP for the testing of the 3 LSx intakes & three deff. CAMSHAFTS , the results were close but still 90/90 on the TOP so it has been proven many times that FAST 90/90 combination #'s exceed the limit by the time shows over 20hp a basically bolt-on & recently we have 'em (LSX Intake manifolds) ported

If you're interesting here's a great thread by WS6FirebirdTA00 with spensors
tests on LSX & eventually the guy went with LSX lol :

anyway i can't disagree about the price to be a bit high but down here it's all about performance buddy

I gained 20 hp over the ls6 intake when i swaped to a 90/90. My car is also a a4. I would think if you now have a ls1 intake you would see another 10 hp. I think you can pick up the 90/90 for about 1100 now so 30 hp is defintly worth the money after you already have a h/c package. But thats just my opinion

I'm going to buy a 90/90 setup this week (the intake and tb are already at the shop), and it's replacing an LS6 intake/stock tb. I'm hoping with that and and underdrive pulley I can break 400 RWHP. I'll let you guys know what happens.

stout numbers for those mods. You'll surely break well over the 400rwhp mark w/ the fast setup and crank pulley. A cut-out would prolly get you another 6-8rwhp or more but IMHO, go w/ dual cut-outs in the y-pipe. It'll sound badass and u'll surely pick up some power. I ran my SS that way when it was a Heads/Cam N/A car and it was awesome. You could ditch the y & cats and go w/ an x-pipe w/ TDs also unless you live were their are smog inspectors.

Howard Tanner of Redline Motosports did. He used a Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno. He's definitly the man when it comes to the LSX motors.
As far as the cut-outs go, i'll probably skip em, I really don't feel like cutting apart my y-pipe. True duals do sound tempting down the road though (I have to keep this catback for a while since my gf bought it for me and she'll bitch if i get rid of it). However the car does sound pretty bad *** right now. Like I said before as soon as I figure out how to upload videos from my mini dv cam I'll post up some dyno pulls and idle/rev clips.
