I think of the GT2-3 cam as a 2002+ ZO6 cam on steroids. I was looking more towards DD reliability than all out power hence the smaller 'baby' cam. With the 918 springs I should be good for a long valve train life span too. I think once I get some good headers and a conservative 3000+/- stall I should reach my goal of a reliable and fun DD and be done with with the car. (famous last words right??)
Sorry i don't have the flow #'s for these heads. The heads were 'cleaned up' a little and had a 63 cc IIRC so they're close to the stock CC's. I think the compresion was like 10.4:1. The valves are stock sizes also.
FWIW Here's a couple of pictures of my car at LPE South just after they rolled it out of their shop on Friday the 7th, it was out of place with all the Corvettes inside and outside of the shop for sure. Ignore the date on the pics, I never got around to changing the setting on the camera:

Who said he will gain 40-50rwhp with only headers??!!! I said with a good Headers and catback (Go read my post again). How much did i gain with headers and exhaust? Thank you. Also I never saw in his first post anything about a catback.

To all, thanks for the inputs and comments, I apprietiate it.
I also was thinking about the Mac mids for awhile there. I've seen the fit of the Mac's w/ a catted Y on an LS1 and was pleased but haven't seen the fit of Kooks with the catted Y in person yet. Someone around here from Albuquerque NM had that set up, but I can't remember who it was.
66deuce- thats the stall range i was thinking.
LSs1Power and Patrick G- Sorry but yes, I did forgot to mention in my first post about my SLP Dual Dual catback. I always forget to mention it since it was already on the car when I got it and never had to mess with it. Out of sight, out of mind type of thing.
Rob- Those are some good #'s on your ride. I was closely following your build-up post when you were going thought it a couple of months ago. Another thing that reinforced my cam decision.

I've personally seen cars pick up 30-38 rwhp going from stock manifolds to LT's on a heads/cam car WITH TUNING.

I had Geoff @ Thunder Racing dyno tune my cam only setup for 338rwhp. He told me the stock mani's/exhaust system were killing me because of the type of cam I put in the car (long exhaust duration) and i needed long tubes and an after market cat-back system to benifit. I bought, from them, the Hooker Super Comps and Hooker Aero Chamber muffler and had another dyno tune performed. 383rwhp was the result. Gain=45HP.
I did have a large gain, but this also included the cat back in the number. How much the headers actually gave me? Not a 47HP gain by themselves! I would doubt any claims to 50rwhp gains from headers... even 40. 30 is a good ballpark guess depending on the grind of the cam.

Old thread yes I already know lol! Thought I’d chime in since I own this car now bought off tall guy in 2015. It has run a best of 11.73 @ 115.82. That was in the most Ideal weather . Other runs were 11.80s that day . In the heat nasty weather it runs like 12.0- 12.1s. FWIW This was with the kooks long tubes with a yank ss3600 stall on a PatG tune who ironically also posted on this thread! lol . Everything else the same including Tall guys gt2-3 cam. Car will be under surgery soon for a pat g stage 2 cam with all supporting mods and maybe some 3:73s Shooting for low 11s😁
