OK well these are probably THE lowest H/C numbers ever but here it goes. The car put down 345rwhp, yeah its shitty but it drives and feels much faster and I'm thus far pretty happy with it. Also the 1/4 mile sim best run with the tires roastin was 12.6 at a very nice 115mph. Now just need a tire and a little suspension and hopefully low 12s high 11s are possible. I'll try to post up the videos once I figure out how. Sean's dyno seems to give awefully low numbers and from all the other cars he mentioned I don't feel real bad, after all the dyno is a tuning tool and the track times will tell it all.

You will probably run very well...my dad's car only put down 350 rwhp on a dynojet and it's full-weight and has gone a best of 11.5 @ 118 on motor and 10.9 @ 125 on a small shot in the middle of the summer with a spinning 1.55 60 ft. Track is the only thing that matters.

Are you going to the motown event on saturday?

Yeah the track times are all that I'm really concerned about. I really want to head out to the event, so I may be there if all goes well but I need my nittos mounted up. How far of a drive is it from Shelby twp area and what time does everyone plan on being there? cost?

So he spent a whole day tuning your car and he got 345rwhp out of it?
Something doesn't sound right to me...even on a Mustang Dyno.

Yeah it was depressing for me at first too but from the sounds of the other cars comming out of there his dyno reads very low. He has a customer that runs 11.3s and only put down 334rwhp through a stalled auto. I told him I was upset about the numbers but if it performs well at the track it won't be bad and I can always bring it back. I'd really like to hit another dyno for comparison sake, maybe I can go on a dyno day when pulls are pretty cheap and see what happens.

Where did you end up going, did you use one of the forum vendors that Unit mentioned? How is the butt-o-meter?

Livernois has a dyno day coming up soon and I believe it'll be on the mustang
dyno. Throw it on there for $50 to get a comparison. All dynos are different
of course, but it'll be interesting to see the differnce.

I agree with Unit, it might just prove the car is fine or needs a little TLC. Either way good luck.

Dude its a 98 dont be depressed. I have friends that were out running me with a lid and and ported throttle body and i had almost full bolt ons. I am in the same boat you are dont worry dude they switched my block out for a 2000 now in the future i just need to switch the heads. Thats just me. I would go with a bigger cam if you are looking for that much power. I need drivability for my car. Your car looks clean though dude dont be depressed it took me like 3 years because i was on a budget to get where I am now and I am still not finished. You have the will of a champion dude keep modding it out.

My mechanic told me that a 98 could only support up to like 500 and some horses because of the oil flow and some other stuff. I just wanted a faster car all I need is the heads right now. My buddy has a 02 TA and he has always smoked me with a lid a smooth bellow and a ported TB even when I had all the bolt ons except for the cam. So we even switched cars because I thought I was a crappy driver same result I smoked him when he drove my car and he lost to me in my car. They are both stick shifts.

Well that is bastard since I have new heads on it and a ported LS6 oil pump you'd think it wouldn't be bad. I still smoked a new C6 completly untuned and SOTP definatly feels like it pulls harder. I think I'm going to stick it on a different dyno, maybe at Livernois for comparison because I was hoping for at least 360. Oh SDMforever you have a pm.

UPDATE!!!!

Ok well I posted this on motownmuscle and Sean chimed in stating that he couldn't and didn't wanna try locking up the converter on the dyno for fear of damage since it was slipping. I dunno why but for some reason I just assumed the numbers to be locked but they were unlocked which is a huge sigh or relief for me. Wow I feel like an idoit.
