It's a 4l60e? Was the converter locked? Something is not adding up...

right, my thoughts exactly... that torque peaked early, but thats not impossible when all things considered.

Thats a nice turbo and should make high rpm boost. What boost controller were/are you guys using?

4l60e and 1000rwtrq? Hmmm.... gives another meaning to slushbox!!

everything that we can tell the converter was locked manually in third gear. you would be able to hear it in video if the converter flashed. plus you would see it on the graph if it was flashed. but we will see once we get it totally done. our boost controller is having some issues and our wastegate wasnt opening up. so that would inflate the numbers some. we will have it back on the dyno a little later this week.

All runs were preformed on a mustang dyno!

The graph starts out at about 2000 RPM and ends at about 3200 RPM, and in that span we managed 1026.8 Ft/Lbs @ 3000 RPM Horse power reached just at 700 RWHP under 4000 RPM and climbing fast, we should see 1000 RWHP when finished. Note: This was with 3/4 tank of 94 and a 1/4 tank of c16 only, NO METH as of yet and we were reading 16-17 psi.

I will try to post up the graph later tonight, but I won't have the video until sometime next week (hopefully).

Setup:
FFHP 408 iron block (8.7 CR)
ET performance 245's
LS6 manifold/ stock TB
FFHP front mount t88 turbo w/spearco intercooler
Fully Built Auto 4L60E RPM Trans and 3500 stall 4.10
Forgot to mention it is in a corvette

I think this was our 2nd pull of the day, but it's the only good vid i have.

thats impressive!!! especially on a mustang dyno with an auto trans and 4:10 gears

the owner took the car to the track today. It ran very well. He kept it on 10-11 psi (according to the guage) which is spring pressure. this is on a 1/8 mile track.

ET...6.8x
MPH...116.xx
60 FT...1.58

He was all over the track and had to let out 3-4 times to regain traction. After the run they did a little looking around to see what the traction problem was and he forgot to let the air out of the tires and was at 25 psi down the track. We were going to take it to the quarter mile tomorrow but didnt have time to change the gears. Not bad for a first shakedown run.

I'm not sure why some of you are questioning the torque number. I was under the impression that turbo's made peak torque when they reached peak boost...It looks to me like the turbo was still spooling and torque was still on the increase. Nothing looks out of the norm to me.

How they got a 4l60e to hold 1K rwtq is beyond me, but the numbers looks perfectly believable to me.

346 h/c cars with a 150 shot can pull 6.8's with a poor driver and launch in the 1/8 so...

hey, just noticed something...

your vette weighs 3800lbs? Im no expert but thats a bit heavy for a vette. Was that used to help out in the power delievery on the dyno? Longer pull?

those times were on the shake down run at 10psi of boost and 28psi of air in the tires, car is built to run 20-25psi, so there is no comparison to a 346 h/c with N2O since the setup you mentioned is about maxed out at 6.8 while the car we speak of is just getting started at 6.8
