Why my dyno was so low

I originally posted in this topic - WTF! 5 hp gain after Kooks, 160 thermo, Ported TB, and more.

Well, I figured out why my dyno was so low. It's hard to get good power when your TB is only opening 70%.

Here is a picture of the TB with the pedal to the floor. I guess 313 rwhp and 333 rwtq wasn't that bad after all.

I should know better!

um, is your cable stretched? or is it just not connected properly? hell, was the floor mat jammed up under the pedal?!? (i fixed a customers car complaining of poor accelleration with a simple tug).

Not sure what the problem is. I hope there is an easy adjustment. It's not my stock TB but there is lots of play if you pull the cable at the tb end. Hopefully I can find out how to adjust it thru the search button.

Not your stock TB? Maybe it's off of a 98'-99' car? They had a different cam on the TB, and took a different cable IIRC.

Yes, it has the smaller cam. My installer should have caught it but so should have I.

Throttle blade, cam/rod assembly is easy to swap.
