SLP4CamaroSS-So is there any way to tell that I have a diff. cam as in the ls6 cam?

86Iroc- I will def bug him when I go see those headers about getting a little second gear pull in. My best so far is a 13.3 @ 106 with a 2.0 60' I missed third and the Car that I had 5 or 6 cars on passed me while I was having trouble getting it into gear and he ended up running a 13.0 with a 1.9 60' on that run So that should have been my 12 second run Ive been trying for.

Doc- As far as I know its the stock tune, When I bought it, it was pretty much stock except for a borla and a lid. So I doubt it had a tune.

Not really with it in the car. They idle to the stocker pretty much identically, if you ever do a cam swap or just that curious, get it checked with a Cam Dr.

I was there that day also,I saw his car dyno and I saw under the hood, all he has is a lid and a Borla,as far as the gutted cats I didnt look under the car.I guess it "may" be possible for him to have an LS6 Cam or something but doubt it,Its prolly just one of those strong running cars from Factory.I dyno'd my car that day too, I have a Bolt on,Stalled 01 Z28/A4/3.23 car it did 348rwhp and 358rwtq and it just so happens to be Sunset Orange Also,LoL!!!Maybe its the color,HAHAHAHA,J/k...Good number Brian!

he most likely has an ls6 cam in there. the only way you'll be able to tell is if he does a cam swap...

I doubt it has an LS6 cam, I judge that by the graph. Cars w/ LS6 cams peak higher than his car did. I think what many fail to realize, unless you all dyno at the same dyno on the same day... it's just dyno racing.

Heres the 2 dyno graphs.
This first one is where there was trouble getting a good reading and the dyno kept giving off the wall tq numbers. You can see I already hit peak torque though in red before it goes crazy. Heres the second one where he chopped out the crazyness before he emailed it.

those are really high numbers for a bolt-on automatic...and let me guess, that pull was unlocked? it seems to me that this dyno is generous.

what does this auto trap, and what does it weigh?

My car with pretty much the same bolt ons did 348/350. My best trap was 112.54 MPH, Mark's car has gone as high as 114 MPH with the stock converter, and a bunch of 112's w/ the stall. His car is like mine, full weight, no weight reduction. I'll call him now and make him aware so he can chime in with his exact #'s.

Dude!! will you EVER give a car credit that is Faster than yours with the SAME or less stuff, its not my fault your car is weak!!!My car trapped the same thing as your when I had just a Lid and a cutout!!About 5 months ago you crowded my thread with your non sense reponses back when I had a stock converter. At the time the car ran 12.3 @ 114 w/1.8 60ft,Yes I know its faster than most BUT some cars are just stronger than others,Have u checked the SI list lately?there are cars trapping higher than me and E/T ALOT Better but I dont see you jumping on their case ,Pulling the BS flag!!Now the car has a Fuddle 3400 stall and runs 12.0 @ 112 w/1.6 60ft,My car is full weight no reductions other than Spare tire removed and no sway bar.If you'd like I'll get a vid of the car this week at our local track idling, show you every mod and a video of it running down the track in 100 degree weather and it'll still prolly run 12.1's @ 111-112!!Does it really bother you that bad when someone else is excited about their strong running car?Why dont you just chill out and except that fact that every car is different!!P.S. the Converter was locked

One way to tell if it has a LS6 cam, pull the valve cover and see if the springs have a stripe...

I have to laugh because once I sell or trade in the green Z in my sig there is going to be a thread ,,,,why does my A4 LS1 dyno so high...I am not pulling the 3 year old TEA heads off it and it will have a LS6 cam.
