Curve looks pretty good! Good job fellas! Are the numbers SAE, STD, or uncorrected? It doesn't say on the graph.

Guys this combo used a stage 2.5 cylinder head. As a result this car required us to cut the pistons. You can use the Stage 1 LS6 with the ms4 & leave the pistons uncut, but we wanted max power. The stage 2.5 heads flow a little more air thanks to the bigger valves. Combine that with the .030" we cut off the heads for more compression & you have a healthy little combo!

Default SCR and DCR

What are the numbers with this combo? Since most talks lately are about having the right cam/head combo, we should also know the gasket size, SCR, DCR and quench if this combo is to be duplicated.

Static Compression Ratio 11.65:1
Dynamic Compresion Ratio 8.58:1

This is if the cam is ground with 2 degrees of advance and assuming 0.032" quench with .040" gaskets. Also, it assumes a .080" flycut (approx 1cc).

These valve reliefs were about .080" both sides. It didn't need that much to clear at minimum PtoV specs, but a little extra don't hurt either.

I think we've done one or two MS4's in cam-only setups on minimal bolt-on type street cars. The MS4 will definatly take advantage of the ported heads though and thats what most of my customers have opted for on our installs.

Eddies car will be here in Albuquerque. I work with him and have known him for a while. We are at a 5600ish elevation. Our cars get nailed with the air and it sucks bad. 485 would be plenty to run low 12's high 11's here with a good launch...

Glad you got some mods on the SS Eddie! Great numbers! We should go to the track sometime and see how she does! I have the same Heads on my car

My car is currently down at the momment. I believe i spun a rod bearing or a main bearing. motor is out and going to the machine shop. I might be ordering a 347 shortblock or 402 from TSP. Possibly some more, like a FAST setup. We will see.

Were those STD or SAE numbers, and what kind of numbers are you seeing with the cam only setups? If those are SAE numbers, those are pretty damn nice!

Hi Jason

- 1 ) At what volume the PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 ended cut 0.030 ?

- 2 ) What head gasket did you use for this combo ?

- 3 ) How much the piston are out of the hole ?

- 4 ) How many cc to substract from the flycutting ?

- 5 ) What is the ICL on you new MS4 ?

- 6 ) Are the PRC Double Spring shimed on the INTake side ?

Need to figure those questions before going further with this combo....
