how any magazine could compare this car to a C6 amazes me, they arent in the same class by any means. the new Z06 *** rapes the new super car GT and costs half as much. I met a guy that said he paid 225k for his GT and was proud of that. i only wish my Z06 with the blower on it was still running when i ran into him. cocky *** focker i would have ran him and taken what ever pride he had and stomped on it.

standing out in the heat in texas all day will make you retarded but 40 hp is a stretch. the only thing worth doing to a 03-04 cobra is a twin turbo set up. that is about the only worth doing to this car. screwing around with that eaton blower system is a waste of time. i dont even think the KB unit is worth the money or time when a twin turbo set up has some much more versatility.

Just got the new Car & Driver mag today, and if you thought the GT500 coupe was slow, how about the 'Vert version? 4008lbs! 13.4 in the quarter! C/D was VERY disappointed with the car. In the same issue, they compare the ZO6 with a 430 Ferrari, and a new Porsche Turbo. The vette sees 207mph top speed, kicks the **** out of both cars in all performance tests, and comes in 3rd?! It costs' less than half of each of the other two, but comes in last...ain't that a bitch?

500 X 15% = 425rwhp........ or 500 X 12% = 440rwhp......
just a thought so that we don't "under estimate" the gt500's

btw, the math is 445.6/.85=525 and 4.12.9/.85=486...not too shabby at all..

i own a '04 Z06 and its comfortable, very fun to cruise around town in, so much of a daily driver i put 50k miles on it as daily driver. It would still be going right now if #7 didnt fail with the P1 blower on it.

The sad part is that nobody is paying MSRP for the new Cobra. Look on eBay and check local dealers. These cars are going for $60K-$80K!!!
Too much of a FAT A$$, Too little power to move its FAT A$$, Too Expensive to justify buying its FAT A$$.

It was Motor Trend or Car and Driver I believe that said the regular GT is a much more fun car to drive. They said the Shelby is too much of a tank.

and lossing 40+ HP to heat soaking is totally possible

Im not a fan of the car but give them time. They are going to make big power and go real fast.
Just remember,
50 more CI than an 03/04 cobra
better heads
and a bigger blower.
these cars will make 600 RWHP with bolt ons and like I said Im not a fan of the car but they will make big power and go real fast. With the better blower and more cubes the area under the curve will be huge and thats what makes cars fast.

I certainly WOULD NOT buy one of these cars with the intention of modding it....Its a incredibly stupid waste of money, not to mention the subpar performance as compared to a cheaper Cobra... Much better options for modification are coming from the Ford stable..... Its a collector car....

I really think when modded these cars are going to be real HP beast. the down side though is there going to be really HEAVY. 3950lbs
if the new camaro is going to be really heavy too I think I'll be keeping my 3400lbs 01 SS. and thats without taken out the CD changer, back seat, and all the other little ****.
