Didn't realize mine actually made that good of power.

523 RWHP on a dynojet.
11:1 402
Runs on nothing but 91 octane.

I have a 427ci ET LS7 engine and a 449ci ET LS7 going together in a few weeks. These should be fairly stout.

What's the status on our 2 new motors?

SAM motor FTW. That thing is a monster as is. Not to mention they already have a bunch of parts they're going to through on it to step it up. Solid roller, sheet metal intake, ported heads...

TVR Speed 12

DOHC 7.7 litre V12 with 880bhp production version on 95RON unleaded (equiverlaent to US 91 octane).

Some where hitting 1000bhp on the engine dyno according to some TVR engineers, but that might have been on higher octane fuel.

Fast car. To be quite honest with you I could care less if it made 23 hp, if it gets me down the track in around 10.5 on motor and 9.7 on the giggle gas. I only asked the question out of curiousity.

If you're talking straight dyno racing on pump gas check any number of supra dynos

Those things can make 1000 RWHP easy on pump gas! Supras FTW!

This is true...they can definitely make 1000 rwhp on pump gas, and possibly even on a stock long block, but I would say it's far from easy. The guys running race gas have any easier time because they just keep adding more airflow and more boost, but doing it on pump gas takes some skill.

Also, 1000 rwhp in a Supra does not guarantee stellar ETs. The common saying is "what do 400 rwhp F-Bodies and 1000 rwhp Supras have in common? They're both 11 second cars!"

Just don't try racing one from a roll. You'll get your *** handed to you!

I have never ever seen a supra make over 1000 rwhp on PUMP GAS, that's just rediculous. But 1000-1300 rwhp on race gas are where most of the guys are at with GT47's, GT55's.

Supra's have about as much to do with this thread as the price of tea in China. Let me be more specific: Highest measured rear wheel horsepower, naturally aspirated, Ls series engine that runs on pump gas. I know the SAM 500 inch motor is badass and if it were in a car it would probably be on top. I know that dyno numbers don't amount to ****, but I just was curious. To all the people that replied to this thread with your results, thank you. From what I can tell the car that Mizfit built a few months ago and some of the LG cars seem to be in the lead. I have my reservations about some of the numbers of the latter though. I have no doubt that Lou's cars are badass and I am not saying he is dishonest. However it is just hard for me to believe that, that much power is coming from a "cam only" setup. However, it is hard for me to believe that the moon makes the tides rise and fall but it does.

There's a guy in San Antonio who has a 98 Cobra that made 1087 RWHP on 93 Octane with a GTS76 turbo.

Bullshit. I've never seen a 76-GTS do more than just crack 1000 RWHP period, not a chance in hell of that happening on pump gas. Somebody's feeding you a crock of ****.
