Default C6 Z06 dyno

My step dad got his z06 dynoed and tuned today. I think his numbers are a little low but maybe you guys can help me. He has a 06 z06 with a halltech f-1 filter,160t-stat,headers, and the tune. He made 475rwhp mike norris did the tune. I was thinkin he should be at 500 or so. Some guy on here said with a tune and intake and a thermostat he made 491. Can you guys give me some opinions.

I think that's right on the money....

Most bonestock units I have seen have been in the 460 range....

475 is right at 550 at the crank....not too shabby

I think that is low, assuming that they are LT headers and it is on a dynojet.

Did he dyno it before the mods? The delta from stock vs modified is what really counts as Mike's dyno is known to be a little stingy.

I seen one dynoed stock at 448 to the wheels, kinda disappointing to a C6 Zo6 buyer when he goes to the dyno and expects like 600+ Horsepower to the Wheels with headers, tune, K&N intake, and bosh platnum 4's....lol

They are the american racing stainless steele headers they look like long tubes just not as long as the LG headers. i dont understand how the rwhp isnt higher. So what there trying to say is that from a Tune, intake, 160t-stat and headers they only gained 40 hp. thats seems a little shitty to me especially on a Z06. but if by any means you guys think im wrong please let me know.

45 rwhp gain is SOLID in my view. You should be pleased. That could easily be 15-20 rwhp higher on a different dyno.

Solid gains there. He didnt go wth LG's (might be leaving a little on the table there) and a 160* therm isnt going to add hp. +45 with just a tune and intake isnt that bad.

You could break that down as +25 with the tune and +20 with the headers if you want.

Listen to what Patrick is saying about the dyno being stingy as well. All dynos do not read the same.

screw the "peak" numbers!....LOOK at the gain. Better yet....look at the overall % gain.

He added headers already, but if you've seen the factory LS7 manifolds, they're a thing of beauty. I doubt people will find more than 10 rwhp by swapping to headers unless they run a much bigger cam than the stock one.

Urban ledgend ur post is a little rediculous i didnt say anywhere that he was wanting 100hp gains infact hes happy with the way the car runs and performs. I said that the dyno results bother me that i think they are low. As tony said his bone stock units are in teh 460 range lets just say the car is weak and dynoed 450 to the wheels your telling me the car only made 24hp out of a tune headers and intake. thats considering if the car was a weaker motor.
