Default Added cutouts to the 402ci

And man...past 4200 it screams now.

531.1 RWHP
481.1 ft/pounds

TSP 402
TSP 248/254 629/622 113
Patriot Stage III heads
FAST 90/90

Through a Moser 9" with 4.11's.

And since I live in Colorado, I always ask for my uncorrected numbers as well.
Altitude plays a little part in my ET's.
443.5 RWHP
402.0 ft/pounds


I will try to get the chart up soon...damn scanner crapped out.

I'm also interested to hear what the gains were from the cutouts? What exhaust were you going through before as well?

The exhaust before was 3" non-mandral duals with Magnaflow mufflers. Over the axle.
There was a problem with banging, so we reduced some of the 3" pipe to 2.5" pipe to reduce the banging.
Custom set-up.

Gains (non-adjusted) were 11 RWHP and 15 ft/pounds. Really picked up at 4200.
Car had 20 miles of drive time to adjust to the change in flow as well. Might have more in it.
SAE gains were 8 RWHP and 11 ft/pounds.

Were these results through dual cutouts, or one single one? What muffler is now on the car with the cutouts? Still the Magnaflow? Nice power!!

Dual cutouts.
The rest of the system is the same, but parts of it are now 2.5" for clearance.
I don't mind driving it around so much anymore. The clearance issues have been taken care of, so it drives much better. No more banging. Of course...that is with the cutouts capped. It is a little loud with them open.

Interesting, I have the same cam and my numbers were really similar on my 418ci befor ei bored it out. Torque numbers are kinda low. I think it may be that cam. I know numerous guys who are doing over 500rwtq and 530+ rwhp with different cams.... maybe I should change.
