I already have LG Streets and Z06 Ti's, so with the new cam, textrailia, heads and LS6 intake I'm hoping for similar numbers. I'm picking up the car hopefully tomorrow (AFR shorted us one washer and its holding the whole show up)....and I'll be tuning it over the next week or so and then heading to the dyno to get some numbers.

I'm excited to hear how my cam sounds and how it performs, it sounds like a great DD cam with some SERIOUS power!
Yes,your Cam is very close but we tried to get the DCR better.
Edit,maybe not a better DCR,just different

Did you have to notch with that cam? Curious to know what kind of PTVC you ended up with.

I did not have to notch. It was a tight fit but within spec. My buddy that helped me when I was installing this set up did the claying. I'll see if he can remember.

Another 228-232 on a tight LSA.

I was really leaning towards this cam but was afraid it would be real tight on PTVC even on a 114. Never thought it would work with the 110 or 111. My setup will be same as yours, Cometic .040 and AFR 205 milled .030

Does anyone know the difference in the chamber area of a stock head vs. an AFR head?

I want to run a 228/232 110 with 62 cc (.028 milled) stock ported head and .045 gaskets if possible.

I see that 1stz06 did it fine with .020 off AFR's and .040 gaskets..

Stock AFR is either 66 or 72 cc depending on which head you spec, with 66 being the most popular.

Stock Z06 is 64.45cc and LS1 is 66.67cc I believe.

I was referring to the design of the chamber itself, i've heard that an AFR head will differ in the amount of clearance it has vs. a stock head at the same chamber cc since it is an aftermarket designed chamber.. but I don't know whether it is more or less.

Gotcha: Everything I know about AFR indicates they have more valve drop than stock. The question is how much.

I have a set of AFR 205 milled .030 that I will bolt on when the heads come back. Tony Mamo indicated with a 224/228 on a 114, clearances with a .040 head gasket should be around .080 on intake and .100 on exhaust. I plan to measure clearance just for the hell of it.

LG Jr. claims AFR milled .042 to 59cc and using a .040 head gasket will clear using the GX3 cam on a 112 LSA.

Sounds pretty good. Would love to hear it once warm and the idle sets down.. What do you have the idle set to for start up? 1100ish? Month or two down the road I should have the truck running.

348 ci (3.905 -2cc pistons)
stock LS6 heads
.40 gaskets
LS6 intake
XER 223/228 108/108

Hoping to get it to idle at 750 warm..

Got the car back. Numbers and or Torque aren't where i'd thought they would be.

421/390

This was made though the stock catback(Stock TA Catback, not the one SLP put on ws6/SS's) so i'm guessing if he would have opened the cutout on the dyno i should see about +10hp/ +5trq<?>. The pulls were only made to 6K, and after looking at the graph it doesn't even seem close to cresting. I'm sure some more ponies are to be had up top....It does seem to have some issues. Idles hot/cold @ 1200 RPM, and i have to get some poly mounts cause i can feel the soft drivetrain... FIgure i'll have to tweak the tune over the winter and add some much needed suspension pieces... Just when i thought it was close to being over.. I'll try to scan the graph soon... Mods in sig...

Good numbers bro, don't get stuck on numbers. Let the track and some practice show you what you really got. Good luck on some low track times. Please post them when you get the chance to run her down the 1/4

Thx bud... I have to say, the car is an animal. Even with the 3.23's there is plenty of torque all around to move the car, and well i've only taken it near 6K once and it felt like a run away train. I defiantly can't wait till i get my laptop back so i can bump the redline to 6500-6700. I'm happy with what she put down, but i know she has more left in her...

Very nice setup. I'm in the market for a new set of 205's and a cam. I will have to subscribe to this one.

I can't wait to see the track times.

Can you clarify what the ICL is? The way it is described it sounds like the ICL is 105 or is the ICL on a 109?
