Default 4000 stall to 3200 stall RWHP Difference

I took out my 4000 stall Fuddle and replaced it with a Yank SS3200. With the Fuddle the car made 403 at the the wheels. My question is, how much more HP at the wheels would it show with the Yank considering looser converters show less HP than tighter ones.

kind of a strange question...the power your motor is making is going to remain the same, although you may dyno higher, and your 1/4 mile perforance will probably be worse although you "show" more HP...just my .02

No difference at all if you lock the converter on the dyno.

I switched to the 3200 stall because the 4000 Fuddle was too loose. I haven't been to the track with the 4000 so I can't compare it. To me it was unbearable, I hated driving the car. I think it feels a little faster, but I have no evidence to prove it. I guarentee it did not slow the car down. The yank acts like the Fuddle at half throttle, spins the **** out of the tires. Now the drivability is completley different. Damn near like stock.

Next time it goes on the dyno I'll have them lock it. If I ever go back that is. I was wondering if there was a difference in hp with it unlocked.

I've had similar experiences w/ my Fuddle 3600. I replaced it with a YANK 4000. Even though its a higher stall, it feels much tighter than the Fuddle. I put down horrible numbers with the Fuddle. All I did is replace it with a Yank and it feels it has ALOT more power. I don't have to redyno because I'm happy with the way the car pulls now. I hated the sloppy feel of the fuddle.

I've got something in the works right now about getting some kind-of settlement from Fuddle because I feel they owe it to me.

I'll keep y'all posted.

Those converters from Yank are awesome. I ran the SS3200 and now I have the PY3400. Both did the job very well.

I had a TCI 3000 Street Fighter and have recently put in a Yank PT4200. HOLY **** what a difference. Car hits the powerband and STAYS there.

That Fuddle felt like I didn't have enough motor. It would flash to 4300 rpms, then the car didn't seem to pull as hard. The Yank is a big difference. I guess you get what you pay for.

I'd like to see some track times to back up these "feels more powerful" claims!

Has anyone ever run nitrous on these converters?
