MSD ignition huh? Sounds fancy...

He forgot to add in the 150 shot of nitrous with the list of mods.

Don't call BS though. You'll just end up hurting his feelings. In his world, he's #1. No reason to poop in his Cheerios...

Now if he has heads and a cam I can see it being possibly as most strokers get to 500 rwhp fairly easily these days. I do not think it was done for 6k though.

$6k in Corvette money (with the Corvette tax) sounds like a header, exhaust, tune, CAI install to me. Well...maybe not that bad. But getting there.

Just to throw some numbers out there here is what I paid for my stuff:

Lg headers no cats $1400
Halltech Stinger CAI $250
Futral Tune $500
Cat back $600

Total $2750 for all that. Now you can get cheaper headers these days and a prgrammer like hypertech. I still find it hard that the engine would have made that much without some serious internal work or stroker.

Those numbers look like no installation...there are some shops that charge a fortune for install (and rightly so, as some of these installs are a little more involved than a typical f-body install). I was being more of an *** than anything, but still...I've spent a ton of money on stuff for my car, and it is nothing more than a stock internal 346 rollin down the road on twinky-twos Point being...$6k doesn't get you as far as most people would think. Its all the small stuff that adds up REAL quick...

If it is a LS7 Z06 it could be possible, they put down ~450 stock.

Not with an LS2 though.

You are right on the small stuff. I would have included install cost, but I did that myself.

Or it could have been on an engine dyno.

I asked him if it was c6 zo6 with the ls7. He said no it was the 400hp ls2. So far he has yet to post up the dyno sheet which he says he has. I think Iam gonna race him and really see what its got.
