Default how much power is lost through cats?

I just got pulled over for no cats, so it is time to go ahead and do my header/exhaust setup. Since I now need cats, how much horsepower do they rob? What would you all recommend?

Metal Matrix High Flow Cats flow very well, but I opted to go catless when I had the LG Motorsports Pro long tube headers. No cats because Michigan doesn't have emissions and going no cats was cheaper. If I remember correctly Bobby or Sean said that the Metal Matrix Hi flows reduced power by about 3-5 rwhp when using the LG Pro long tube headers.

Random Techs flow close to the best also and will take 5-7hp away, but worth it if you need them. Do a search, someone on here tested a whole bunch of them
