252+258= 510
510/4 = 127.5
127.5- 112 = 15.5
15.5* 2 = 31 degrees of overlap??

Is that correct?
They would shoot you if you tried to get that car through a sniffer test in Cali.

A few questions for you:

- What brand Cats
- Was it a stock untouched LS7 intake, no porting?
- How can that cam pass emissions with so much valve overlap?

236 + 240 = 476
476 / 4 = 119
119 - 116 = 3
3 * 2 = 6 degrees of overlap

You use advertised duration not .050 #'s to calculate overlap. Cams have a hell of alot more overlap than 6 degrees. my 222/230 112lsa cam is 284/292 adv. duration with a 112 lsa and it has 64 degrees of overlap.

You only use advetised duration if you want the .006" overlap. Almost all cam specs compared around here, ovelap wise, are compared at .050". In that instance, he correctly calculated overlap at .050".

What would it cost to replicate that package in an f-body Mikey? (Provided you have the exhaust already done)

Chris, if I was building a street car again, this would be my engine, no doubt. This engine retails for $14,000 as a long block with the rockers arms.

I will post numbers when mine is done. The prototype motor had a curve very similar to the thread starter's posted dyno chart... just much nearer the top of the graph paper

The key components are "ported heads" and "monster cam"

those are some nasty numbers for a daily driver emissions car, now throw a 150 shot on top of it and call it a day!
