Default Mild 427 LS7 Dyno Numbers

Just finished up a 427 with GM LS7 top end. Nothing special about this car. It's a 2002 Z06 running Kooks LT headers through cats and stock Z06 exhaust. Cam is a 236/240/116. I designed and tuned the engine running on 91 octane fuel as this car is California bound. Total timing was 22 degrees.

Not super stellar numbers but consider the broad torque curve and stock like driveability, it's a real fun car to drive.

Amazing numbers for such a mild combination. Just last year, you would have needed to run a nasty cam to get such high numbers. Congrats. Can't wait to see the graph.

Great numbers for a cam like that. That is exactly what I am looking for!

A few questions for you:

- What brand Cats
- Was it a stock untouched LS7 intake, no porting?
- How can that cam pass emissions with so much valve overlap?

236 + 240 = 476
476 / 4 = 119
119 - 116 = 3
3 * 2 = 6 degrees of overlap

Kooks Cats. I think they use Magnaflow.
No porting on anything. Bolt on GM top end.
Not sure it will pass yet.

Nice. Hey I still need to call you back about the BBK T/B. If one of these motors accidently gets thrown into the box with the T/B I won't hold it against you.

So what your telling me, is that with my cam, id have issues getting it inspected in california?
252+258= 510
510/4 = 127.5
127.5- 112 = 15.5
15.5* 2 = 31 degrees of overlap??

Is that correct?
