How would you go about narrowing the hp/tq split.

Not yet. Been working like a dog (good thing). Maybe by the end of this week. Having trouble getting off the wallet also as there really is no other reason to spend the $100.00 besides to see the difference. That $100 bucks is half the price of the progressive controller for the nitrous that I need in order to get this beast to hook on the 325/50/15 nittos from a 2nd gear roll on a 150 shot. But I promised so I am going to have to bite the bullet.

Update. Well, I still haven't been able to get back to the dyno but I did go to the track last night. Here are the results.
Well, even though I am still working out the suspension and need some new tires, I still managed to squeeze off a new best. For many of you, this will not seem too impressive but it's my best time slip so far and only my 2nd outing at the track with this car and only like my 4th time out in any car.
Anyway, here it is.
.............Best Pass..................... Best out of 3 passes
R/T........ .559 .............................503
60'......... 2.037 ...........................1.996
330........ 5.184 ...........................5.184
1/8........ 7.729 ............................7.729
MPH....... 97.93 ............................97.93
1000...... 9.899 ............................9.899
1/4........ 11.724 .........................11.724
MPH....... 124.41 .........................124.41
Race weight w/ me in it last night almost exactly 3700 lbs. This is thru a stick w/o a shift light so not really sure that I was hitting all of the gears at the correct RPM. I think I have atleast another MPH left in it and then it's back to removing weight. I have atleast another 100 LBS that I can take out w/o really getting into gutting it.
Any of you that are good at reading the time slips, please feel free to give feedback. I know that the MPH is good for low 11's. I really would like to hit 10's NA. Maybe I will break down and take the UD Pulley off the GTO and swap it in.

I still haven't had a chance to get back on the dyno. Tomorrow I will be installing a GTO T56 to replace the notchy piece of **** that is in it now. I have to granny shift it to get it into the gears.
Also, I hope to be wiring up a NOS Progressive Controller, an ECT gage (the one in the dash stopped working a few months ago), and a digital tach w/ shift light (so that I can shift at the correct rpm) in a pod on the pillar today.
I am currently only hitting a 150 shot on the street. I haven't tried it at the track as it seemed pointless due to all of the spinning while running NA on the Nittos. Anyways, if I hit it from a second gear roll, it blows the tires right off. I am going to set it to hit 75 and ramp up to the full 150 by the time I hit 3rd gear. I have the jets for a 200 shot but I don't think that I have enough volume (fuel) to keep up with it so I need one of those little fuel cells in the front.
I sold my stock rear this weekend to a guy from the board here and used the $$$ to buy 2 15X10 Weld Draglites w/ some fairly new 26X10 Slicks that a guy was selling on another board that I belong to locally. I need to get the slicks mounted on the rims.

It's kind of a pain in the ***. Sometimes you can get it to slip a little when taking off and sometimes it wants to bit down pretty hard. I have gotten used to it and just have to come out of it real slow and feel for that friction point. Sometimes in squeeks a little on take off also. Almost sounds like the serpentine belt slipping but it's the clutch. A buddy actually had this clutch in his car for about 1000 miles before he went powerglide. It squeeked in his car also. Other than that, it's great LOL.

Well I got the tranny, the progressive controller, and Tach w/ shift light installed last night. I think that while on the lift we discovered that the front left caliper is sticking pretty badly. I think that it might have cost me 1 or 2 MPH in the 1/4. Got the new caliper and am in the process of replacing it.
