They are using every ounce of the higher hp and tq is there at every shift.

That's just insane. The air sucked tonight also. The humidity was way up and the BP was down so there's a good bit more left in it.

Dug,
Did I forget to mention that I am not racing a diesel. I guess Since it is not a torque turd, it won't go down the track either. Also the rpm pickup on the dyno was having a had time keeping up.

It went 9.61@143 hitting the revlimiter at the 1000ft mark. This was the 2nd pass on the new engine. The humidity got so bad at the track that we had to call it a night. The DA was terrible and the humidity was 90% with a BP 29.60

Actually Erik and LME both had something to do with this engine. As for the 385ci it was just some parts that I had acquired. This seemed to be the best combo for the parts that I had.

Very nice !!! That is some serious HP !!! Tq holds on very well up top, doesn't drop off like everyone elses does around 5000-5500. Those heads and intake with a 106 mm TB really work well together. Curious about the airflow of the heads?? Must be sick, because we all know that you need air flow to keep a good Tq number up top (8000 rpms in your case). Great job and thanks for posting the Graph for us to drool over......This may be a dumb question, but can you drive her on the street, or track only ??

We have been turning our car 8000rpm's for more than 3 years now. We did it on the stock short block, stock heads and will continue to do it with this setup. We have the ability to set the rev limiter as high as 12,000rpms but that shouldn't be needed. We have proven alot of things can be done with the right combination.

Thanks,
Amber

It is not quite stock oiling system. I have a Moroso pan with the pick up in the very rear of the pan P/N 21150 I think. And with that pan, it relocates the oil filter to a remote housing. I have a CV products oil filter housing and a very large NASCAR style oil filter, I also have a Melling pump with the red spring. The total volume of oil for my system is 9.5 Quarts. Yea, thats right 9.5 quarts.

Actually there have been a couple that have done that with those size motors. One imparticular example would be here :
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=fms+427

If you backfigure 850fwhp with a good 15% loss that still comes out 725 at the tires, and i highly doubt through that drivetrain it is even a 15% loss.

None the less good numbers Joe and congrats for a nice setup!!!!
