Default Another dyno estimate thread =)

I'm building a 408 for my truck, it should be finished and installed in February. The

Parts going in:
Gm iron block, 4.030 bore
ARP main studs, ARP head bolts, ARP misc bolts
ls7 lifters(the 100$ ones from SDPC)
Eagle H beam rods
Mahle Pistons, -12cc dish
Cometic head gaskets
317 cast heads hand ported
Dual springs(PRC)
ms3 cam(I know, a baby cam)
4" stroke Eagle forged crank
Clevitte bearings
Stock truck intake manifold
8.1L truck injectors

Think that covers the engine parts

Bolt ons:
Pacesetter LT headers
No cats
E-cutout
S&B air intake
misc, standard bolt ons

With that said, the truck is an 04 silverado, 2wd, 4l60E(upgrading before motor going in), 3500RPM stall, 3.42 gears.

The compression ratio should be 10.25:1

Any estimates on the 1/4mi(truck weighs 5000lb) would be nice too, but more interested in dyno#'s for now. I'll find the 1/4 times this spring after the motors broken in and I get my new gears installed.

Thanks a bunch guys.. I'm anxious to actually get this thing finished and put on the track and dyno.

Thanks!

Some guys are breaking 500rwhp with the FAST intake/TB & good heads

The reason I put 450rwhp & 490 rwtq is I'm guessing the truck intake is going to make a little more torque and a little less HP...

Well, its all good. I need more torque to get me moving. Weighs 5000 lbs without back seat or spare.

Im gonna agree with this due also to the cam being soo "small" for your engine. it should be a pretty docile cam that builds GREAT torque in my opinion. similar to a 224/228 in a 346ci engine. should fit your build perfectly. however Id put in bigger gears to get that big *** truck moving better.

I hope you have some good tires to stick that power to the ground because my bolton '01 RC 5.3L w/ 3.73s would rip tires to pieces....lol no weight on the rear tire....

Lol, I have 20's now, so I may be having to save my old 16's for burnouts lol, those 20" tires are expensive! But they do get good traction.
