dyno tuned at your location

how do u feel about haveing your car tuned at your shop or at your location.your house drag strip or the mall were ever u want it done at

my buddy tunes my car, i voted yes. but he tunes me whenever. at the track,on the street,etc etc.

Well think about it. You are out racing one night and something do's not seem right with the way your car is running, then you say to yourself "Let me call jon doe to see if he can bring his portable dyno and hook it up to see what is wrong so I don't screw it up".cool idea,don't know if it would work though.

definate yes

there is nowhere even close to me to get a dyno tune.thers only one place with a dyno.the name of the shop is "BLUE OVAL CLASSICA" if that tells you anything.They tune only fords and ive heard they arent very good at it.Im also one of about 3 owners of modded ls1s in the area.Mostang and rice country.

By the time you have software to do enough vehicles to be self sufficient plus the INSURANCE BINDERS (between one and 2.5 million liability depending on show, something everyone forgets about...) that larger shows REQUIRE will quickly dwarf the expense of buying a dyno. Trust me. The money is in tuning, and they will make the voyage if you are good. You also have to add on the price of a tow pig, fuel (@ 2.50+ a gallon) etc. You won't make money tuning anything in someones driveway.

I'm just sitting here reminescing about all the, belts, engine parts, oil, anti-freeze, driveshafts etc that I've seen flying around our dyno shop over the years, picture this is some uppety neighborhood too.
