Let me type what Gator ment.
Trickflows could be a restriction compaired to stock L92 heads and a L76 intake on a big cubic inch motor.

yes

i was refering to this specific combo and i assumed the L76 intake as well.

but then again, the L92 has only proved itself on the flowbench and on paper. lets see what can be done in real life!

I would put any amount of money on Trick Flows over L92s on this exact motor LOL. I'm sure Ron and Mike could correct me if I'm wrong, though.

It is all about the value. Trick flows would kick ***, but you would literally spend four times as much for heads and intake. But you would probably win!

Oh, I totally agree. That's what I was saying earlier in this thread. The L92/L76 price totally beats the Trick Flow/ported FAST 90/90 price by a long shot. However, that comes at the price of power, too.

Your wish may become reality in a few weeks We may even see a 92/vic comparo on those inches

So much for the oringinal budget...... this is getting expensive-

But what the hell. Anything in the name of R&D. Yes?

I would damn near take that bet. I would imagin this was built with the L92 setup in mind and a cam built for these heads.
Maybe a TF225 with a ported manifold and a different cam, vs this motor would be a comparision. However these heads/intake are less then 1/2 of the TF/Ported Fast 90.

The L92's are much more sensitive to cam timing events, and I don't think an uported L92/L76 will ever make the power of a TFS/Fast combo. So the testing will be skewed according to which cam is used, a typical cathedral port cam, or a "too big of intake port and valve" cam.

Well you ain't gonna put a L76 intake on TFS heads. And yes, with a 418, you'd be using the TF225s and a ported FAST 90 and a different cam. And I'd be willing to bet anything that it'd make more power. But that doesn't mean the L92/L76 setup is bad or even "okay", it's still awesome, especially for the price.

Can't wait to see the final results.

Update, Its my GTO guys, I am waiting just like you are, Ron and Mike have been banging away at this stupid GTO fuel system and now have its *** kicked! Its going to be awesome, should have something in the next day or so. I dont think i have ever been so impressed with what they have done in such a short time. Hold tight and theres a good chance we will have numbers by the weekend. I am betting we will see something over 520, but I have seen it run so I am a bit bias!
