Default Bolt-on dyno record

What is the recored rwhp/tq for bolt-ons only?

No power adder (blower, nitrous) and no cam.

Just Bolt-ons (intake, exhaust, pulley, tune, etc).

i dont think there should be a record for HP. no two dynos are the same really, they arent really consistent enogh, the track is where records should be made and broken, not the dyno.

all I have is a descreened maf sensor in my 02 SS and i made 333whp on a mustang dyno, are you all sure that 370-380 is all that you are capable of? The local ls1 tuner in my area told me he gets any where fro 30-50 added whp from a tune only. Add that with some headers, intake, throttle body and some exhaust and i think it would easily be over 400 on any dyno.

I don't think 400 would ever happen without a cam. Maybe on a high-reading dynopack.

Your numbers seem high for a mustang dyno which averages about 50 ponies less than a dynojet. Any other mods?

Very true.

But there is no track on my island and I was just wanting to see where the other factory freak LS1s were at.

The guy that told you he can get 30 - 50 whp from a tune alone is full of ****. do not take your car there because he cant be trusted. the only way in hell a tune will pick up that much on a bolt on car is you already had a major problem. you will never see 400 rwhp on a bolt on car.

What about the 1.8RRs?

Which I will never buy. I'd get a set of harland sharps or yella terra 1.7s to go with whichever cam I choose. lol

Gaining hp from a tune is a by product.

The main aspect of a tune is not to gain hp but to make the car run more efficiently.

If fix a problem like running way to rich or way to lean. Make the car more streetable or all out race tune.

Sometimes this leads to gains in hp. But just because a car makes the most hp with one tune doesn't mean its the best tune for car/engine or that the engine is running at its best.

I'd say ~10-15rwhp MAX with a tune on a bolt-ons N/A car.

Max. If it were forced induction then yeah you can gain as much as 100hp. lol
